How it works

Step 2: Choose a date and time slot as per your convenience and provide address where verification can be conducted.
Step 3: A background-verified agent will arrive at the scheduled time to verify your original proof of address and PAN card.
Step 4: Show your Government issued address proof (Driving license/Passport/Voter card) and PAN card to agent. Do not handover copies of your documents in-person or over Whatsapp to any Amazon agent.

What is KYC? Why do I need to complete KYC?
Amazon pay balance is RBI regulated pre-paid instrument which mandates completion of FULL KYC within one year of account opening. Customer will not be able to add money into the account post 1 year, however there is no restriction on using the existing balance.
How is it different from min. KYC detail provided earlier?
Min. KYC detail, providing officially valid document number, is required to open Amazon pay balance account with validity of one year. To continue using Amazon pay balance account you need to complete FULL KYC.
What do I need to verify before submitting a KYC request?
The name on Amazon pay balance should be same as the name on the KYC documents
You need to have valid Government issued address proof– Driving license/Passport/Voter card and PAN card
The customer placing KYC request should be present at the time of KYC verification.

How long will it take for my account to be upgraded?

Useless Amazon policy, not accepting aadhar, postpaid bill or rental agreement as address proof. It’s not easy to update address in voter ID, DL or passport, anytime you shift your residence
That doesn’t have to the case even though amazon explicitly demands a separate ID proof for current address
I only gave them one ID for address proof (twice) which is my passport with permanent address
Now my KYC got verified without any issues
they are not at all coming to my home for document pickup.. as of now I rescheduled twice.. I called them they are not picking the phone.. i called multiple times amazon CC every time they are saying we have escalated this issue. I fed up with KYC verification

In fact it’s amazing to see everyone rushing for KYC even with other documents. These companies have no liability for your data. Nor do the employees in between. Even this aside, this will come back to bite you in various ways.
Just refuse to do KYC and these rogues will keep extending the deadline. Just like how they kept extending the Aadhaar linking deadlines everywhere.
same here bro, booked thrice but no one came to pick up. now unable to use amazon pay on swiggy, so had to book an appointment hopefully this time they will show up.
Service is not available in most areas so it doesn’t matter to me, since my area is not apparently on the radar of their agents. Lol dumb amazon.
Amazon has made a complete mess of the KYC process! I had booked offline verification on 28th Jan. Agent came, checked ID and took signature. After uploading softcopy of documents on app, they rejected it saying selfie photo is not clear! After correcting it, they said KYC agent never visited your place and you’ll have to book offline appointment again by giving missed call to a non-existent number. After escalating the issue with customer support, they said they will send someone and the agent never turned up! Until now (25th Feb), KYC is still incomplete. I guess they’re doing all this to avoid giving me the Rs. 200 cashback. Looks like they’re not serious about their business in India anymore.
Yea Same u can’t load money from March if full KYC not done but no restriction on spending you can add gift voucher as you used to do

They will respond back to you, if you have already given them the docs.
I got my kyc completed after 1 month.
My KYC was completed 3 days after the agents visit. He only took couple of signatures no soft or hard copies as I had already uploaded pictures of required documents on amazon app. I also received 200Rs in Amazon balance after KYC was completed.

How to do mini KYC..? Dont have any address proof documents except aadhar card but they r not asking for aadhar verification. Expiry date is 28th Feb only.
We can load balance using gift cards and will also be able to pay via cards directly then what is the benefit of loading money directly into apay wallet when gift cards are awailable from third party… Why kyc is needed?
