ordered woohoo gift card (quick silver product) and the transaction with AMEX was smooth

Just to check and also to attempt availing to offer, bought Amazon GC worth 3010 using Amex.
Txn went through without any problem and even got the GC and added to account. Also got confirmation email from Amex that I have redeemed the offer and credit is being processed.
My card is Amex Gold Credit Card issued by Amex India and 14 years old. It is international card and I have made foreign currency txn with it. I stored it to Amazon more than a year back and now the validation is done by Amazon at the backend using pin code and not through front end payment gateway.
Somehow the whole thing seems very puzzling.

Another update from Amex cc. They acknowledged there is problem with new cards & they are trying to sort out with merchant. I asked for written email for all this, they are first trying to resolve issue. Hope to receive one on Monday as manager was not available. Old cards are said to be working fine. My both Amex cards are issued post aug-15.

Update: checked my account. The cashback has been credited next day.
@A2Zdeals may be that is why I am able to transact. My Amex account is very old, probably one of the oldest in this forum.

BTW I am facing similar issue with my SBI credit card. Amazon considers this as an international card.
