but to each their own. Yes it looks like larger selling, but as a brand Bajaj has lost the grip and command it had on itself.
not singling them out. Now most brands are trading brands, including the best of the best. (get things made under contract manufacturing and sometimes also with all the branding in place) and merely market it.

I’ve seen mixies of Bajaj giving reasonably good service even after nearly three decades, so they did have the expertise.

Oster as in what is sold in international market is real good, not sure abt the one they are selling in India. Blades and other stuff of Oster is much much better than any Indian made brand. But that is the one I got from Videsh

thank you so much for such first person accounts Karan . coming as it does from sensible quarters, these give a sense of direction to the decision making process of others.

and THAT (desh versus videsh.. dumping versus home market quality) point is exactly where it boils down to !
my thoughts replicate yours in that sense for Braun. Most of those units i have seen have had an excellent run if they were made for their home market (or Europe in general).
[some bought or gifted over the years for gift or self use and of-course the main workhorse MX 32 which incidentally has survived over three decades (over 30 years) of tough use]

it also depends on what kind of pride or engagement the brand has with itself.
say, Maspion (a brand focussed around Indonesia, Malaysia) have been the best in the class and continue to be so.
with focus on trying to maintain longevity with quality. Their MJG 250 is/was a mixer juicer grinder with a modest 250 wattage motor and yet has been decent through the 16+ years of use that our family put it through.

you have raised a very valid point in that the consumables or accessories prone to wear and tear have to survive over extended use,
and in addition to that, they ought to be easily replaceable. (preferably with brand authenticated spares, else they ought to have affordable after market spares from other suppliers)

[there is another member right here on Desidime who has spoken very highly of this exact same model, based on personal experience and use of the same. But I think going into the details of that might not find favour with the said dimer for whom maintaining (relative) anonymity on casual internet activity is very sacrosanct.
