Amazon is using credit cards in India the way they’re used in US, as a billing system without future authentication. Ease of use of course, but just not the way Indians have been using the cards. So I hope people READ and UNDERSTAND the fact that it will auto charge from card and not ask for another authentication.

ICICI and HDFC are banking partners of Amazon, so one feature they is suppose your current expired and you’re subscribed to Prime, then it will automatically renew it with the new card details. As they as banking partners, they charge the account with new card details.
This is also same case with Norton AntiVirus subscription.
The above case is for credit card only. This is possible and practical as well.

No need to delete payment options .. Just Go to my Account settings manage my prime and then end your Prime before one day or anytime before your trail period end date

Guys plz dont ever to do this…its not a loot…for us its a loot for amazon…i did last year n the got lost ….they will automatically reniew the 999 prime membership for the account for which they r giving 30 days free…even opt wont come directly 999 will deduct from credit card…and i even didn’t noticed and when I notice it was around 3 months and i asked them for refund..they gave only 700 rupees
It’s your mistake that you haven’t discontinued PRIME from setting before ending your Prime Trail .. Don’t blame offer for your mistakes
