I have a query in mind regarding Amazon Gift Cards, for few months now.
Amazon always mentions in the T&C that “The E-mail ID of the sender and the recipient must be different.”
I always send GV to my other email ID but subsequently add the Gift Card to the account from which it was bought.
Here the Gift Card email is received in different email account but fund recipient is not different !!
Do you also do the same ?
Is that a violation of T&C ?
1 Some people do it, as the system / Amazon – being bit soft abt it – kind of allows it!!
Technically, its ok..Ethically, it varies with a person’s beliefs, opinions and definition of Ethics…? 
[2a] So what exactly does the T&C say?:
“The E-mail ID of the sender and the recipient must be different.”
Clearly no violation as such in sight there…Of course, you can ask/tell Amazon CC that u ordered a GC for your spouse, but she gifted it back to you…so now what to do, is there anything wrong with that? 
[2b] People do it and still manage to get cashback, which is an acknowledgement that terms are deemed to have been followed “without violation”…? 
T: Technically, not a T&C violation…
Observation: While many events in life behave in binary i.e, or 1 form or step function, most of life’s answers to real complex / confusing / debatable questions tend to be a matter of degree -and they lie on a continuum… E.g. Its not an issue if u do this once twice or thrice, but if u do it in a manner extreme enough to be noticeable to those who care about it, then it sure is likely to transform into a problem / wrongdoing which it always was…?
