There has been a restructuring about how Apple deals it’s distribution network in India in 3Q of 2018. They cut down almost all distributors apart from two major ones nationally which are Ingram Micro and Redington. Before that they had an open distributor model that diluted the brand value with people discounting the products heavily at will. The want to maintain that premium brand status and hence cut down heavily on discounts offered either online or offline.

That’s the reason you hardly see any crazy offers on any of their products lately in India apart from the ones officially announced by Apple.

Why it’s rate going high and high in 2017 Diwali sale in Flipkart it cost 48000 then I wait for a long year to come it down from 67000?
it come 54000 after 8 months after Diwali sale in 2018 and after that it never comes below 60000 what a pitty to buy this in the price of 67000 when we already saw it in 48000

Not buying this last year was my biggest mistake. Now even the deal price is so expensive!

Apple drops prices when new model is launched or during Diwali Sale for very limited time.
Apple is not bought for their specs or value for money reason but for their premium & luxury value hence not every can afford it or spend money on it.
Rest the year, their prices are near to Mrp and people buys it at very less discount as they cannot wait a year for few thousand discounts.
Unlike other brands, the price of apple products remain steady throughout the year and this gives customer a confidence to buy .
Just seen today how Galaxy S9 price dropped to almost half in just a year but such thing is impossible to see in Apple hence after 3-4 years later also Apple product values good price where other brands product gets discontinued.
I hope those who still think why Apple is so costly and why people buy at high price is clear now.

If you want to watch movies, rarely edit photos and do some word processing stuff then this is good. Battery backup is legendary. Otherwise buy a windows based laptop or build a desktop instead. 67k me ghazaab build hoti hai re bhai

It still makes sense because Mac OS will soon run iOS apps and vice versa. Also, Apple is minting from India. And, that could be the last good keyboard and form factor from Apple, ever again. I have it and apart from the (low-res, high bezel) display, this is close to perfect as a laptop.
