Go to the cibil.com and apply for the credit Score. You will get all the details
Guys, if you know that you will be rejected, because of poor or no credit history, do not apply.
Every time you apply for a credit card and get rejected, your credit score goes even lower!

No need to go to cibil, they will charge more, any bank in which yr account/CC u can apply for cibil score. I know from HDFC/Axis CC u can apply to get your cibil score.
That’s true, every time you apply for a credit card upon bank’s checking, CIBIL will deduct 2 point’s from your CIBIL rating if the credit card is not approved by the bank.

you misunderstood @DealSeeker statement.
In your case , you rejected it, not the bank. But if bank rejects it, then that affects your credit score.;-}

I was not taking a guess or expressing my personal opinion on this, bro. All of the major credit reporting bureaus — Equifax, TransUnion, Experian — DO DEDUCT credit scores whenever you apply and get rejected for a loan or a credit card. There are ways to minimize the impact, but that’s out of the scope of this discussion.

Dear @DealSeeker , I am not guessing, my another experience with Citi Bank CC, they rejected 3 times my application, but 4th times they only called and offered me card. may be Big Brand do that, but these banks don’t..

I think the problem is that you are talking about something else altogether.
You see, I never said that a bank will not offer you a credit card in the future if you get rejected once. When you get rejected, your credit score does take a hit, but if you had a good score to begin with, your score level (e.g. 750-780) does not change. Most banks, big or small, look at your score level rather than your exact score to determine your eligibility for a credit card. Moreover, on your fourth attempt with Citibank, your score might have actually improved because of other more important factors like your reported income, credit utilization ratio, length of credit history, etc.
So, in conclusion, your credit score definitely goes down when you get rejected for a credit card or a loan.
Edit at 9:39PM: A good rule of thumb is to not apply again within 6 months of a rejection. There is also a trick to keep the impact of rejections to a minimum, but I am not interested in posting that publicly.

But if you apply from www.cib...om you will get all the details related to your score.
like when your payment was defaulted. what is the reason of the low credit score, etc….

Partially agreed with above stmt.. sometimes its not only CIBIL factor for rejection, so Bank can not give negative for that case.
Anyway m not interested in any CC now..

Err, bro, the other factors I mentioned — your reported income, credit utilization ratio, length of credit history, etc. — are indeed a part of what goes into calculating your CIBIL score.
I hate making statements like this, but in the interest of saving both of us some time, just trust me on this. I probably have more experience with credit and finances than 99.99% of the users on this forum.
