During last tranche of April 20-24 it was priced 4639 per gram (4,589 per ram for online) So it is 1% cheaper this time. I think this is pretty good time to invest in it considering share market has started going down and gold price is gonna increase only now.
The Sovereign Gold Bonds will be issued in six tranches from April 2020 to September 2020 as per the calendar specified below this year:

All banks are giving at 4540/- in online option. What is new in this. Are you agent of icici? Hey admin, look into this.
lockin period 8 years…buy physical gold instead of this
For physical gold you will be charged making charges, safety/storage is also a big concern. but in this case you will also get 2.5% interest annually + on maturity capital gains are tax free.
buying a previous tranche from the market is more beneficial
Why so? because of lockin?
but you will have to pay capital gains tax in that case..!!
