Any more power and the turbulence will be disturbing the gas flame.
You can keep this fan closer to you while cooking.
A chimney will not give you relief in a hot kitchen

Very weak fan at 38 watts . Better to get a good exhaust fan or chimney which removes smoke by sucking air thereby creating circulation same as fan
