I purchased a similar non-abrasive glass cleaner a few years ago. It turned out to be a complete waste of money. Have you ever found any glass scrubber (in India) which does the job as advertised?

nope, not really. in-fact, in our markets i’ve hardly come across anything apart from liquid agents in so far as it concerns ‘glass’ (or TV or white appliance) cleaners.
till a while back had something in the car tool kit for lint free cleaning but lost it somewhere.
it was neither microfibre cloth nor sponge per se, but something similar.

The one I purchased was a white-colored non-abrasive sponge-like material. Can’t recall the brand.
@DealSeeker the one we lost from the car (during a service/ check-up) was something like PVA, but only 2-3 mm thick.. it was like a napkin
but the unique thing being, if kept out of water it would harden as soon as moisture was lost. so it had to be kept in its container.

due to two distinct school of thought and debate over
whether to use paper on glass or not to use.. i kind of simply shun the responsibility altogether 
[well not completely. i do clean up, when i am alone/not at risk of offending either camp. sometimes plain cotton cloth, sometimes paper !]
