Actually Citi Credit Cards rewards scheme is best..you can redeem point above 5000 for cash in you Credit card balance…Per point you get .35 paisa
I have not seen other credit card companies doing that
I always redeem my points this way

You get 1 point for spending Rs. 125/- on most of the places when using Citi Rewards. So, to earn 5K points, one needs to spend Rs 6,25,000/- and then they get cashback of Rs. 1,750/- whereas on my other HDFC Regalia card they give 4 points for spendig Rs. 150/-. So, if I spend same 6,25,000 using my Regalia card then I get 16,666 + 10000 bonus points which is equivalent to Rs 13,333/- when redemeed for booking flight tickets.

Its just the comparison that I did between the two cards. If one can spend so much then Regalia card is better than Citi Rewards.

31250 amount to get extra 2500 reward points if u spend at apparel and departmental stores on Citi rewards card and 10 times that amount i.e. Rs 312500 if u spend using same card elsewhere.
Waste offer unless u r spending 31250 at apparel stores. Even Icici (which i consider 2nd to worst amongst best) basic card wld give 50 paise per Rs 100 spent (anywhere) compared to Citi’s 1 point per Rs 100 on normal days. So now u know who is worst amongst the best when it comes to redemption.
Citi card is very good for 10% offers on FK, AZ and many other sites, but don’t bother about points. Redemption ratio sucks big time with Citi.

+1

Due to this bonus wef Apr’18, card benefits look actually decent (if one can utilize for flights)!!

4 pts per 150=1.33%
15k pts per 8 lakh=0.94%
Total RP ratio=2.27% + HDFC good offers all the time:) + practically LTF!!

https://www.hdfcbank.com/personal/credit_card/r...

Citi Rewards with 0.28% base RP rate is far behind. Offers also generally limited utility (except may be 20% Big basket offer)!!
Citi IOC may be a better bet if one can utilize at IOC petrol stations…Citi Premier miles even better if it suits the user profile and one is willing to pay fee and still make some meaningful net benefit… sunglasses

So, i have rewards card.

if I load 2500 into some wallet. I’ll get 20 points (normally) + 20 points (in these 2 days)
= 40 points.
1 point = 25paisa. Which is 10 RS.

If I transact at apparel/departmental stores, 200 + 200 = 400 points.
Which is 100 RS.

Is Amazon loading considered as apparel store ?!!!! And am I correct ?

I hold citi rewards and iocl card but the card benefits are not so good. Nevertheless, rotated some money using these cards just to waive off the annual fee and get extra reward points

Yes, I checked.
So, its like for spending Rs. 10k one can get Rs. 50/- cashback on IndusInd Platinum Aura Edge Card whereas on spending same amount using HDFC Regalia card one gets 264 points which can be redeemed for Rs. 132/- towards flight ticket.
