Grofers - Flat 250 instant discount on min. txn of 1000 with Standard Chartered Cards for first time users (Valid on Saturdays & Sundays)

Quite basic but interesting query!! Let us try to understand this better:)

It is a promotional expenditure of strategic nature.
And it is likely to be a significant due to large user base and attractive offer making a good % of user base exercising it.

Now question is who will be funding it?

COD: Bank/card not involved, so funding must be by grofers itself. Can Grofers afford this additional 15% over and above product level and SBC level discounts for this long – Looks difficult to me!!

Bank card/Wallet: Grofers and bank/wallet must be collaborating because each wants to expand its reach to users having profile and such no of users. Now if both are dividing the total expense in a negotiated % share manner, it will benefit both on account of synergistic collaboration..but specially grofers. Isn’t it?

Now which one would Grofers choose or prefer? For customer, of course everything-and the more the better-is welcome!!
