Some vegetables are costly in certain locations depending on production pattern. I remember when I was in Delhi, Raw papaya used to cost Rs.30 /Kg whne same was available at Rs.10/Kg in Kolkata. On the other hand, Green Pepper (capsicum) used to cost Rs.5/Kg and Green peas used to cost Rs.2/Kg in Delhi when they were costing Rs.40/Kg and Rs.20/Kg in Kolkata.
So one needs to adopt to local vegetables.

Still 5 Rs/Kg for homegrown veggies in some rural places nowadays due to lockdown effect. Farmers can’t take their stock to the wholesale market. No middlemen no inflation.
