@Navneet i7-6th gen for sub-50K is indeed an excellent price. However, I can’t endorse HP laptops because of their poor build quality.
What about Lenovo? Is it better than hp?
Nice
Lenovo hard disk problems YES.
HDD died within warranty period.
Again died outside warranty, lost data.
They charge 2500 for usb with driver/oem.
HP Lappy using as a desktop 16-17hrs a day X 5yrs.
going good.
once OS crashed due to some error (after 4 years)
all data was safe, used hdd case to access HDD to copy data,
oem window re-loaded from HP ass, rs.500-600 odd (lappy 1 day at ass)
bought driver etc cd for rs.500-600 from HP.
once fan replaced in 4 yrs. due to use of slanting cooling stand which causes problems with fan axis to tilt.
Bought another HP laptop.
Wait for AMD Ryzen to release, it will be cheaper and better than i7
No personal experience with Mi laptops but as per various reviews their build quality is decent.
And regarding the excellent build quality of Apple laptops that is not much of a surprise considering their exorbitant prices and the high margins. Dell XPS 13 which costs half as compared to the Macbook sports as good build quality and is way more featured. Its grossly unfair to compare a Rs 30k laptop to something that costs 3-4 times as much. In the same price range Dell, HP Lenovo ( Thinkpad anyone? ),Asus all have equally good build quality. And shoddy build quality does not necessarily mean that the laptop will fall apart in a few years. Its more likely that a cheap, leaky cap will bring about its downfall.
When it comes to service HP is a country mile ahead of all others be it the breadth of coverage or availability of spares or ease of servicing. I mean which other company can ( readily ) provide spares for a product that was launched 9 years ago?
Another model but with Core i5 Win10 @ Rs.45370
