+ April spend must be at least twice the value spent in March. So many conditions!!!

• Top 5000 customers with highest spend multipliers will receive cashback as per the above table
• Example: If the total spend on the credit card for March 2016 for customer A is INR 26000 and the same card is used for a total spend of INR 62400 in April 2016. The spend multiplier will be 2.4 and customer will be eligible for the offer. Similarly for customer B, March 2016 spend is INR 80000 and the same card is used by customer B in April 2016 for INR 168000. The spend multiplier for customer B will be 2.1 and customer A with spend multiplier of 2.4 will be ranked higherthan customer B.
• Add-on cards will be treated as separate card
• Cash back shall be credited on or before 15th July, 2016 on a best effort basis to all open and active card members’ account. The time line provided for effecting credit is only indicative of expected period and may vary from the actual date of credit.
• Citibank employees cannot avail this offer.
• In case two or more customers have same spend multiplier value, the following criteria in the same order will be used to decide final top 5000 list:
a. Highest value of total spend in the month of April 2016
b. Maximum number of transactions in the month of April 2016
• It is mandatory for the customers to pay with a valid Citibank credit card issued in India to avail the offer.
• In case of cancellations, the total spend amount will be calculated on net transaction values deducting the refund amount.
• The Offer is valid on both EMI and non-EMI transactions done by the Customer on valid Citibank cards.
• The decision of Citibank would be considered final for rewarding cashback and on deciding the top 5000 spend multiplier customers. The Cardmember/Account holder agrees that no claims pertaining to the qualification and announcement of the Winner(s) shall be raised against Citibank. The transactions for any approved claim of refund/re pi a cement shall be excluded from this Offer.
• If the customer applies the coupon code and also redeems his/her points in the transaction, the customer shall qualify forthe offer only on the net amount paid through his/her Citibank Credit Card.

Depends upon how much others spend, you can’t be sure of being one of top 1000 even if ratio is 10. 5000 cashback on spending at least 1lakh is not really a great offer, no guarantee of getting it makes it even less attractive.

I won couple of times last year for top spender in a month. That time these kind of criteria was not there. I spent 1.5 to 2L on each of those months. I received 1 or 2K points additionally each of those offers.
