its claimed to be dual VoLTE, meaning you can use simultaneously use 4G in one SIM and VoLTE in second SIM. that would make it a better choice than any other phone in this segment.

This looks like a replica of Redmi 6A stuck_out_tongue
https://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_redmi_6a-92...hp
and yeah if u compare the specs this is better than 5A but why buying these lower end phones when u can get midranger like 10.or G for 5999 during sale days? and that too FK BBD should happen in around 50 days
Unless u need a 4G phone right now, don’t go for this

and there aren’t many options in this price segment ~6k
This is why Redmi 5A is still ruling lower-budget segment as for some even 1k matters

most operators are shifting to VoLTE. So if you are buying a new phone, going for dual VoLTE is the wise choice.

Its not a widely used feature or a necessity even if you have two sim cards with VoLTE Now it is restricted to few cities only (VoLTE minus Jio) & by the time every network gets VoLTE working everywhere, you would’ve got a different phone
So, my preference would be the one beneficial right now n not the maybe case at a later point of time

Most people now have at least 1 Jio SIM. But in many places, Jio gives less than 2G speed. So there is no other option but to use data connection in second SIM, be it Airtel or Voda. But the moment data is changed to non-Jio SIM, unless the phone is dual VoLTE, Jio will stop working completely. The only way to continue voice call services while using data in non-Jio SIM is by using Dual VoLTE handset. So it is very much a present necessity for many users.

Like i said
The wide rollout of VoLTE everywhere will take a lot of time
Airtel VoLTE is currently active in only around 10 places (Cities + States)
Same is the case with Vodafone
If you consider the percentage of users living elsewhere it is much more
and there is no guarantee that a dual-volte phone will support VoLTE from all Jio, Vodafone , Idea & Airtel. Many Phones lack the 4G bands itself
Also until now only Midrange phones have Dual-VoLTE feature, this gonna change pretty soon. Redmi 6A which was launched in China about a month or two back with VoLTE and dual-volte is expected on every major upcoming smartphone launch around 7k so don’t think there’s a need to rush right now

you did not get the point.
even without VoLTE roll out by any other operator, all Jio users having dual SIMs need dual VoLTE phones to ensure data in non-Jio SIM and voice in Jio SIM simultaneously. Otherwise, they need to carry 2 different handsets.

Ok, I misunderstood that
Even if u consider this case, don’t you think its a rare phenomenon?
Like most Network operators offer data bundled with calls now. I don’t think anyone who opts for Jio plan is willing to pay the exact or a bit higher amount to get a similar plan from Airtel/Vodafone
It is useful if u have two unlimited calling+data plans like me (BSNL & Jio) if not you won’t pay for jio plan at all
For what i have heard from people, many wanted to try Dual-VoLTE phones only after that particular carrier started VoLTE services in their city
So dont think it is a necessity to get a first phone with a dual-volte around 6k. Soon there will be phones which offer a lot more for just 1/2k more

Both Airtel and Voda also has data only recharges in addition to voice+data.
Many have taken Jio and circulated that number. Now Jio speeds have become hopeless in many places. So a person is forced to switch to other SIM at times to ensure proper data connectivity, but they also need the Jio number live all time to receive calls. Speaking from personal experience as well as experience of many persons I know.
