Jio will provide Basic JioFiber broadband connectivity (10 Mbps), wherever it is geographically feasible, without any service charges, for this (coronavirus) period

JioFibre broadband customers are required to pay Rs 2,500 at the time of installation. Of which, Rs 1,500 is refundable at the time of surrendering the connection.

Technically 1000 bucks for 15 days

Companies have to donate 2% of their profits towards social cause under csr.

Below is the criteria for the same

  • The net worth of the company should be Rupees 500 crores or more
  • The annual turnover of the company should be Rupees 1000 crores or more
  • Annual net profits of the company should be at least Rupees 5 crores.

I hope this clarifies

Well what can I say, You probably has no idea what’s going on in this country. Tata, Ambani & Birla are one of the most country oriented business men in the globe right.

It’s not their job to take care of the country, but they do help massively whenever need arises.

So either you don’t know anything about what has been going on from last many decades or you don’t know how to value things.

Views are personal.

CSR has no. of areas where you can invest. And if you talk about Tatas or Ambani but have a huge (I literally mean massive) trusts. They don’t need to do anything for anyone, just keep on donating 2% in those trusts and they are good to go. But they actually go far beyond that 2%.

Here is a fun fact :
Reason why Ratan Tata doesn’t list on world’s richest men list is not that he is not worth that much but because most of the earnings of Tata family goes to Charity.  To BE SPECIFIC ITS NOT 2% BUT AROUND 65%.

Not a fan of mota bhai. Jio shits in my area.
Why must he do charity if he is earning on his own?
(A little too much but still why so?)
Anything is better than nothing. He is giving something.
Maybe a motive of profit is there. But whatsoever he is giving.
PS:- carry on

Lol you are giving me details of CSR as per sec 135 of companies act 2013.
I asked you that what is the benefits of CSR in Income tax as you say that ambani announced it after covid 19 included in CSR activities?

Let me clarify you company have to contribute 2% of avg np of 3 previous year in CSR activities and they don’t get any benefit under income tax act means expenditure on csr activities is disallowed as per income tax and not considered as exp.
Ambani can contribute anywhere if he want to because he won’t get any benefit as per income tax but he contributed for Covid 19 so be appreciate his contribution rather than taking nonsense.

One more thing company have to expend min.2% of Average Net profit of 3 previous years in CSR activities not donate. You can’t claim csr expenditure under section 80G of income tax act.

Half knowledge is more dangerous than no knowledge

So don’t value your self I guess.

So give them all you got. But don’t worry they will help you. Whenever they like to help you but not when you need it the most.

he will donate via his trust, and its exempted in income tax.

not having half knowledge, i have practical knowledge.

if you want to donate via csr let me know,

it will be allowed in expenses as well.

If he donate via trust then exemption is not available to RIL…and that expenditure not considered as CSR expenditure.
You can only do one thing treated as CSR or Donation.. You can’t claim both.

Btw we are providing Taxation(DT and IDT) advisory services in Mumbai.

For you reference plz read explanation 2 to sec 37(1) of IT act..
