Kindle – American Express Offer FAQs
What is the offer?
Get 15% Instant Discount on AMEX Consumer Credit Cards, on purchase of a Kindle device from 22 November 2017 to 26 November 2017. The discount is valid on the purchase of one Kindle only per card.
How can I avail this offer?
Just go through the normal purchase process and checkout with the product only. Use your AMEX Card to avail the discount and pay the net amount. Please note that your purchase must contain only the Kindle device, i.e. no other item in your cart.
What is the maximum discount that I can avail?
The maximum discount possible per card account across Amazon.in Site and App is Rs.3,000 per card. The offer is valid only once per card.
Is discount applicable on AMEX Credit Cards?
Yes, the discount is available on AMEX Credit Cards.
Can I avail discount on credit card on EMI?
No, the discount is not applicable on Credit Card EMI.
Can I avail the offer on card payment on delivery?
Yes, the offer is applicable on card payment on delivery for orders placed during the offer period i.e. customers who have chosen the option of Cash-on-Delivery (COD) while ordering and chose to use card for payment on receipt of the product (MPOS). However, please note that the facility of card on delivery payment is subject to availability of the card accepting machine at the time of delivery. The relevant cashback will be posted in the form of Amazon Pay Balance in your Amazon.in account by 26th January 2018.
In order to not lose out on the offer, we highly recommend that you pay with your card online at the time of placing the order.
I did not receive the discount. Will I get cash back?
Please make sure you are using an eligible card, and do not have any other item in your cart. If you are buying with more than one item in your cart, then you will not get the discount. The relevant cashback will be posted in the form of Amazon Pay Balance in your Amazon.in account by 26th January 2018.
My payment failed while placing the order, will I be eligible for the offer?
If your payment failed while placing the order, Amazon.in gives you an option to revise your payment. If you revise your payment, you will be eligible for the offer – however, you will receive the offer in the form of Amazon Pay Balance Cashback to your Amazon.in account by 26th January 2018.

This offer (“Offer”) is provided by American Express Banking Corp. This offer is applicable over and above existing offers running on Amazon.in
The offer is not applicable on e-books.
The purchase of the Product(s) on Amazon.in will be governed by the terms of sale, including terms of exchange, applicable to the sale of the Product on Amazon.in.
The Offer can only be availed where the underlying purchase is completed on Amazon.in with one Product in the cart. This Offer cannot be claimed with multiple items in the cart (including multiple Products). In the event the purchase is completed with multiple items in the cart, the Cardholder will, instead of getting instant discount, receive cashback in the form of Amazon Pay Balance to the tune of 15% (ten percent) in his / her Amazon.in account subject to the Offer terms.
This Offer will not be applicable if the Cardholder or the seller or Amazon cancel the order and/or the Cardholder returns the Product and, in such a case, participation in the Offer will be deemed withdrawn. In such a scenario, only the net amount paid by the Cardholder will be refunded. In other words, the instant discount will not be refunded or the cashback will not be provided, as the case may be.
This Offer will also be applicable on purchase of Products by the Cardholders under an exchange offer (if available and applicable on the Products). For the avoidance of doubt, it is hereby clarified that instant discount will be provided in addition to the buyback value for the old product determined by the buyback / exchange partners, if any.
The instant discount / cashback, as the case may be, provided to Cardholders under this Offer is being funded by Amex to the total exclusion of Amazon.
Amazon and/or Amex reserve the right to disqualify the Cardholder from the benefits of the Offer if any fraudulent activity is identified as being carried out for the purpose of availing the benefits under the said Offer or otherwise by use of the Card.
Amazon and/ or Amex reserve the right, at any time, without prior notice and without assigning any reason whatsoever, to add/alter/modify/change or vary any or all of these Offer Terms or to replace, wholly or in part, this Offer by another offer, whether similar to this Offer or not, or to extend or withdraw it altogether.
Delinquent and over-limit Amex Cardholders will not qualify for this Offer.
Cardholders are not bound in any way to participate in this Offer. Any participation is voluntary and the Offer is being made purely on a best effort basis.
Nothing herein amounts to a commitment by Amex or Amazon to conduct further, similar or other offers.
The above Offer is by way of a special offer and nothing contained herein will prejudice or affect the terms and conditions of the Card member agreement. The terms of the above schemes will be in addition to and not in derogation of the terms contained in the Card member agreement.
