Purchase Weekdays Zomato for a Year.
It will show for 400
Apply coupon – GO4GOLD
It will show 200.
Proceed to payment and Confirm.
Now here’s the trick.
(Do this (15-30) mins before going to the Hotel/Restaurant) (Unverified)
Now
Go to Phone Settings > Date & Time
Switch OFF the Automatic Date Time and time zone.
Set the date to Weekday Dates (except FRI, SAT & SUN)
VOILA!
Important
Now close the Zomato App, Go to zomato app Settings press Force Stop and clear cache & data
Open Zomato, login again and tada. You’ve successfully got your zomato gold (All days) for ₹200.
After you’re done with Activation of restaurant, Force Stop Zomato & Clear Cache and remember to turn on automatic time & date.

I guess you have written something wrong. I think you should have written : " Set the date to Weekdays (Mon-Thurs) "
Because on weekdays it will normally work. You need to do this trick on weekends. (Set the date-time of weekday)

This trick will not work.
When you go to the restaurant, you click Unlock in ur app, then it goes through Zomato servers & then the Restaurant people get notification / mail / communication from Zomato, that a guy named xyz is sitting at ur restaurant & he just unlocked Zomato Gold.
Which means it goes thru Zomato servers, so it will be definitely checked at their servers too & it will give u an error.
Or even in case it works, Zomato will block ur account in few days.

There are 2 changes in Zomato Gold T&Cs from Sep 10, 2018:
Non-alcoholic beverages will now be part of the Gold program and you can avail 2+2 on mocktails, shakes, tea, coffee and any other non alcoholic beverages at our drinks partner restaurants. The only exclusions will be items sold on MRP and packaged goods.
For every 2 diners only 1 Gold benefit can be unlocked.
For eg. for 2 or 3 diners, 1 membership can be unlocked, for 4 and 5 diners 2 membership and so on
