So please make me understand that amazon is exception for not mentioning shipping charges ?

You need to update your thread title correctly, 1 KG at Rs.55 was not wrong too (I guess excluding shipping if total amount less than Rs.1k) but as per other users here the rice quality is bad that cud be a bummer.

Hi DD junta, Just one point to clear, who ever has said that the quality of this rice is not good is either faking or he tired some other variety of best rice.
“Best Premium Basmati Rice” is the top variety from “Best” brand. And you cannot get the same quality from other top brands at the price which Best offers.
This variety is top notch & if you don’t believe then please take the sample to some rice trader & ask him about the quality.

Actually Best brand has several varieties of rice & none of them are as good as “Premium”. So might be people mistake the inferior quality with the brand itself.
Generally premium variety is available at Rs 500 for 5 KG bag. So any deal below this price is surely a good deal where ever you can get online/offline.
I will suggest everyone to atleast try it once. I am pretty sure you will not buy any other basmati brand.

well, i did mention that i am not fully sure about the same product,

anyways, thanks for correcting, my knowledge about various varieties of rice is very limited, i simply just go to store (mostly d-mart) and get the basmati one, costs around 40-50 per kg depending on brand i take
