its definitely Overpriced for Xiaomi sorry for posting but still for a first SD820 phone in india. maybe not that costly

there’s nothing wrong with your post https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif
Its just that xiaomi released only 3GB RAM version for 25k. 3GB RAM for a flagship price of 25k that too with heavy skin like MIUI? hmmm may be for 20k its a steal

Xiaomi treats india as their dumping ground .

Hmm firstly redmi note 3 was months beyond and gave letv a good grip in India . An almost 1 1/2 month edge for le 1s . The key note for redmi note 3 made me think that competition has got xiaomi back on track both in terms of pricing and device availability .But sadly seems not the case .

Pricing was bang on for redmi note 3 . For 2gigs it was just perfect nothing could be better but for 3gigs I think the company made a 500 bucks or maybe even a 1000rs more profit .But that’s my individual take

Now availablity is where Hugo stated he cares for India .And frankly not at all . Producing the 16gig variants because they aren’t selling that hot in China . This wasnt needed .They had a fair estimate of the demand but still they goofed up .

Now mi5 pricing is not ideal and yes just let letv le 2 and 2pro launch and see how xiaomi will react .

Though we are forgetting that the prices are good enough but not good for the brand they have build in the world .It’s not the mi3 price or the note 3 price which one should expect from a Chinese company like xiaomi .

Don’t worry… there r signs that next sale would be for 32 GB and it’ll be open sale.

@Altruist my brother was lucky to get the 32gig one in 2nd sale but that was only through scripts . Even I got a 16gb for myself using it in 1st sale .I really wish that Amazon blocks all these scripts and stuff. They make it just impossible for anyone apart from the people who get hold of these to buy .And these resellers profit 1000 to 2000 per piece .

Before u press the buy button everything goes oss .Only saving grace is the waitlist

not only xiaomi is charging a premium on base model, they are also dumping the white variant which is low in demand.

Given below is the extract from a review from Gizchina

" the black version of the phone is far better looking than the white model."

“The reason why the black version of the Xiaomi Mi5 is preferable is because it partially obscures the design of the home button and it also hides the black border around the display.”

I was able to add to cart the 32gb version in its last available sale without any scripts. Changed my mind after seeing bad reviews of camera. It should be relatively easy to get bro. Keep trying.
