Does one feel good while reading duration of warranty in the manual only? Or product gets repaired on its own within warranty period without technical assistance? How about u ask for service and nobody turns up to repair the thing. Or person says, repairs can’t be covered in warranty. Or it can’t be repaired at all whether its within warranty or not?
In India don’t always assume u will get the service ( forget about good service).
Also there are lot of differences in TV and ac/ fridge. There are not moving components in TV. In ac/ fridge compressor almost always runs which product is powered on. So more chances of developing problems.
Anyway everyone is spending his own money. So think visely, research quite a bit about the reviews. U might want to visit service centers to check how the service is….
Don’t blindly go with any company. And Indian (Chinese product traders) companies have notorious reputation for non existent service.

agree with you @harpy.eagle – i had purchased voltas a couple of months back and it had free installation and the vendor came for install and charged very high for ac stand and wire – and inspite of free installation cost me rs. 2200 and i am sure the materials were not more than 700-800 rs. but he said he will install only if material purchased from him. this is india and everything is ram bharose.
Tks for sharing ur experience. Authorised service has become money minting business now a days even while not providing expected service.
My brothers lg fridge developed problem. Cooling wasn’t sufficient enough. Within warranty period. Compressor was working. But no one from authorised service center as well as 3rd party repair men could solve the problem. Finally had to buy new fridge and dump old one for 2k under exchange.
I had an accident on Honda activa. So it had considerable cosmetic damage. Basta@ds made bill of 16k. And developed technical problems in it which were not preset earlier. Now its giving serious starting trouble. So much that parents are sick of it. I am not fit enough to walk or go out yet and look after the issue. So that’s how things are in service sector.
So its better to avoid companies which sell low quality stuff and non existent service. Like micromax etc.
Dont buy blindly.. Go thru the reviews here…
