Not exactly. ? Apart from smaller size, 4K Video playback (not for games) support, HDR Gaming (if both the game and your Tv supported it), not drastically new features . IMO, without an HDR 4K TV or 4K movie content, it’s of no use to me.
However, with the XBox One S, remember that if you wanted to use a Kindle, you need another chunky adapter that costs another $30. This one requires no such thing.
At this price in India, with one extra controller, Kinect and games (easily worth $60-100), it’s a steal @ 23990 (after SBI 1000 off)

Of course, XBox One S is newer than Xbox One and does have newer features. But it’s not a successor to the older one (like how it succeeded 360). Rather, only a stop-gap facelift upgrade until Project Scorpio (Next XBox) is out.

I imported 500gb one S with Extra controller during Blackfriday for 15k
what about Customs and stuff ? How much do we have to pay ? I had put it in Cart, later thought of customs / tax, so didnt proceed with purchase. 
Don’t tell you asked your friend/relative to bring it for you – were you able to use some drop-shopping service instead?
I got my relative bring it for me from UK, however I saw Amazon UK shipping to India and it was still cheaper than India.
