It’s not only for the meal you can use it for online shopping & for recharges also. I had done both using cashback amount.
Adding money from my ICICI bank debit card shows error however I tried my SBI debit card & it worked for me.(don’t know about others & nothing against OP)
Till date I don’t understand the purpose of 10% cash back or 5 ka 10 type offer. Why to waste time in for just 5 rupees or 5*4=20 rupees. OR I am missing something big.

You are missing the multiple accounts multiplier effect. Some people here have 100+ Paytm accounts. Almost every other day there is a new 5 ka 10 offer. Making a cool 500 or more with every promotion seems very appealing to these users, who are mostly students and some recharge shop operators. Clearly, they are missing two things: (1) They can actually earn more for their time if they do a small project on freelancer/odesk. Not to forget that the skills they will acquire will actually be useful when they start a real job. (2) The immoral, and possibly illegal, nature of creating multiple accounts for financial gains. Note: Do not ask me for help with freelancer/odesk.

While I dont ge the “5ka10” offers either, 10% cashback just for adding money to wallet comes pretty handy as it only takes less than a minute. Especially considering the cashbacks you get on sites like bookmyshow and ebay for paying with wallet. And not to forget the frequent offers mokwik has been running lately. once those offers dry up, adding money to wallet for 10% will probably not be worth it but until then, I’m easily saving 20-40% on my weekend movie tickets and other minor online purchases. Worst case scenario, I pay my mobile/dth/electricity bill at 10% discount.

Not to forget mobikwik is accumulating all this money from its users & keeping it without paying any interest to anybody.. In other-words they get income from bank interest & if invested in bank bonds then higher returns..
Hence these offers do make a lot of sense.. PAYTM has similar business model but they have more money from VC & also charge traders for selling products on their platform hence their CB on money addition is less but for other promotions its far better than mobikwik..

If you are using the latest version, then its on the same page where you enter the credit card details.
In newer versions, there is no option to redeem coupon after adding money, you have to enter promo before making payment.
