This needs to be pinned, Everyone who buys anything should plant trees as Materialism leads to more resources used. Materialism isn’t bad thing its just we should go for responsible Materialism where if we buy things we dispose it carefully if its electronics. We’re going through the worst situation i.e Low Water Table, Uneven Rains, Desertification etc. All these Tress will help in solving all of the above problems.

Because of people involvement. They could have planted n-number of trees anyways, and yes, they do this every year. Ask TCS guys, they will tell. But growing consciousness is also important.
For eg – Suppose you bought an Amazon voucher of 1000 Rs for just 10 Rs, which got cancelled. But whenever you now see SBI credit card and Amazon deal, you will be reminded of that. That you participated in so and so thing. Similarly, when someone takes a pledge, be in this fashion, it will become a memory for life. Years down the line, when you happen to take a stroll in a garden or doing safari, and come across the name “Managed by Tata” then you will get this thought at the back of your head, that your tree might be there and you will smile without anyone knowing. Another eg – Blood donation, you donate blood without even knowing whom it goes to. Maybe that bottle carrying your blood dropped then only and all blood spilled. But, you will live under belief that you donated blood and did a good work. Another eg – Anna Movement, people connected and came together, Anna and others took the credit. Even though Lokpal is not there but those came together will always cherish that they were a part of this thing.
So, don’t baulk at ‘clicking’ now. Be content and feel good. Also, don’t tell anyone that you clicked this if feel quite repulsed by this idea. I planted few trees in the name of DealSeeker, Magus, Beinghuman, Noah, dealcache, and just now in the name of googlecardboard too

Guys its a good thing and we got nothing to lose in it. But its Tata thats making an effort , we should make an effort on our own. You can go buy an earthern pot for a measly sum and plant in your balcony or wherever you want. It would be sureshot that you did something and you know yourself that you contributed. Many of you must be having plants at home if not then the initiative at yout home could do more wonders than these clicks. Click also but do the good deed yourself and see the satisfaction.
Well according to law they have plant trees in 50% factory area. So anyway they will plant, this just another promotion for building brand name.

It’s not fake. Initiative undertaken by Tata Projects. 2nd episode of the same. Also read comment by e.r.r.o.r above regarding the pledge. Not that much trees they will plant. Do also check out this beautiful video released by them on Environment Day.
