This has 1-year warranty and that means even Samsung has no faith in their products. Instead, buy 43" billion TV from flipkart during sale for 13000 along with extended 3 years warranty. Get peace of mind for 3 years spending less than half the money.

This has IPS/PLS panel? If that’s the case then this is the lowest I’ve seen for a 4K TV. Damn.

I so badly want to understand the thought of these big giants on as to why do they offer only a meagre 1 year warranty even if you are buying a Sony AX9000 series for 3 lakhs, that is to say in an age, where a stupid exist battery for Rs 900 comes with 4 years of peace of mind.
Have these manufacturers no confidence in their own products or do they think of consumers as bloody idiots.

They want you to spend extra 10-20% of purchase value for peace of mind (Extended Warranty)
Which I don’t think is much for someone who is willing to spend 3 lakhs on a TV
Same applies to Laptops, Washing Machines, Refrigerator ….

Not all products come with an extended warranty. Even if available, none will go beyond 3 years. More than once I had seen, perhaps I am unlucky, such electronics develop snag immediately after the warranty. Spending 20% extra during purchase may not be much, but replacing the whole TV after 3 years is quite some damage.

AFAIK, you can extend warranty for all Samsung TVs (Within Initial warranty period)
After that its just luck. Like developing a burn-in on an OLED TV even after spending lakhs on purchase + extended warranty
This is one reason I don’t prefer to use phones for longer period post warranty expiry but TVs n other large appliances are hard to dump

Yes, think they build it in the software. Experienced 2x with nokia. Just outta warranty n dead. N72 and Lumia. Iphone shorter battery life with each update.
