Let’s address some of the very interesting points that you made
1) Did you conveniently forget about the little matter of delivery charges “Rs 20 / Rs 25” that BigBasket levies?. I quote from their site:
“Delivery is free for orders above Rs. 1000. For any orders below that we charge Rs. 20”. For Mumbai it is 25/-

2) Did you conveniently forget that BigBasket is operational only in 3 cities? India comprises a lot of other places as well in case you’ve forgotten

3) Is it mentioned anywhere on the Big Basket site that you will get 2 free batteries? Yes, I can see it in the photo but it isn’t mentioned anywhere else.

Same product according to the picture. Different prices, different descriptions (One for flies & mosquitos, one for mosquitos & cockroaches). Doesn’t inspire much confidence in the pictures posted by BigBasket
Surprisingly Mortein itself doesn’t claim to kill cockroaches in their PowerGard range (http://www.mortein.co.in/products-powerga…sp). BigBasket says it does.

4) Lastly how did you get the magic value of “20” for the Eveready batteries? The box itself says 19/- Further, that is the MRP. Even in my state which is not known for discounts Eveready batteries are available for 8/- or lesser. And Eveready batteries are not even that good

In case it escaped your attention here each one is price at 42.5 which is way better than the 55 that you are claiming. That too in a “cost price” shop; which means you have to find one in your neighbourhood
Further, ShopClues @ 42.5 means that your deal is 29% more expensive @ 55

Madam… This seller Aleva International is one of my fav sellers on shopclues. In fact, I’m waiting for the day when they will bring back odomos deal. What a deal that was… We buy 2 tubes worth 140 at just 57. Now that’s what I call a “jaw dropping deal”.

But look at this deal. The product is priced at 49 and shipping 34. What the hell? Shopclues is making a fool of us all. We should stop encouraging this bullshit. Next, they will list at 49 with shipping 49 and that too will be given the title, “Jaw dropping”… Bloody Bs!

You get it sitting at home without the need to find a cost-price shop. Those don’t exist at all in my state
