No bro GTX 1050 Ti and 1050 has huge diff in gaming performance but yes this deal posted by u is also gud
But no ssd, Predator had ssd+hdd
8th generation processor and touchscreen compensates that
the i5 predator was 50k
that is 7th gen but this is 8th gen ..More over it is a lenovo yoga like laptop and can be converted to tablet.it has touch screen with better IPS panel good brightness.
Life time 2016 MS office free
Its an 8250U processor…Its a portability-oriented laptop for a very casual gamer
Touchscreen compensates ssd? And not much difference between 1050 & ti? Come on now.
That way there is not much difference between 1050 & 950.
this is the comparison
https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/nvidia-gtx-1...
between 2GB 1050 and 4GB 1050 ti though.
There is no 4GB 1050 desktop model hence you hardly findd comparison.
but there is not much difference between 4GB 1050 and 4GB 1050 TI
it seems this time there is not much attraction in flipkart deals…3 sets of Billion Days in a month.
Haha this guy.
It is 8250U processor made for low power laptops. Sure, it is much better than the old U rated processors, but it is about 10-15% less performance than the i5 7300HQ found in predator at 48.5k. What is cool about this 8th gen chip is hyperthreading which enables this low power chip to come close to the previous gen HQ chips.
Laptop touch screens are again and again proven to be tedious to use. Predator has matt finish so there is no reflection while this laptop is glossy and will reflect anything behind you including your own face. Glossy will give more colors but I personally dont like reflective screens.
1050Ti 4GB mobile is 25 to 30% better than 1050 4GB mobile. And, that 30% makes a huge difference to games since it pushes many games to above 60fps level in appropriate settings.
SSD in predator is just a plus point, which you can sell in OLX for Rs4k(market value – 6k) and replace with an nvme card. This laptop doesnt even have a built in ssd.
Overall
Predator – It is clearly the best deal of this season. No need to fight about it.
Nitro 5 spin – It is also a good deal at its price range, but not as good as what predator was. The positive points are lower weight and sleekier design. It is more of a casual laptop while the predator is designed as a gaming laptop. Having a finger print reader is also a plus for those who use it.
That’s not because of HT, it’s because ULV chips are better bins than regular 25/35/45W chips. Though you have to remember that if you are using compression or CPU encoding then the 7300HQ will be better because the 8250u will not run at it’s full/boost speeds to keep the power consumption & heat in check.
The 7300HQ will run at a higher avg speed or any __HQ part for that matter. The ULV chips are great for battery life & when you have a dGPU like this laptop, in such cases the 1050 & the CPU can run close to their full speeds provided the power delivery & cooling is good enough.
In a laptop both will throttle or run close to their base clock over long gaming sessions, if you can keep the laptop plugged in & cool, only then will the 1050Ti run close to its full potential.
Just a small tip for those upgrading Acer laptops, If you upgrade your laptops ram or SSD without visiting the Acer center and use parts other than manufacturer approved your warranty is effectively null and void.
For those who missed the predator deal, this is a good one IMO you can upgrade to SSD from Acer center. Also, disable the touchscreen when you are not using cause it can affect battery life from 15-25%. Not much sure how much disabling it will affect it. https://lifehacker.com/touch-screen-laptops-are...
Some of the reasons posted against touchscreens in below articles don’t apply to this laptop life expensive or more weight so take it with a grain of salt while reading it.

https://glassen.net/truth-behind-touch-screen-l...
If you compare with predator laptop with the price reseller’s are selling for the i5 model, this laptop is nearly comparable to the 7300hq. Benchmarks below

Updated Graphics card comparison with all graphics card having the same VRAM, what lazy dealer posted was a bit old: https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/nvidia-1050-...
Basically, performance wise you are not losing that much compared to the predator also the weight is 500 grams less for this laptop compared to the predator that is a nice thing if you value portability a bit more. Also, this laptop has way better speakers IMO since it has front firing speakers whereas the predator had a bottom firing one. But beware if you use it in stand mode or tablet mode you will muffle the speakers. For best sound use in normal mode or tent mode.
The Screen is glossy nearly unusable outside due to reflections, applying a matte screen protector can solve this. If only using indoors it might not be much of an issue and on the brightness thing what lazydealer posted is BS cause nobody has reviewed the laptop so we don’t know how much nits it is. The predator clocks 250 nits of brightness.
The fingerprint sensor is a much welcome addition you will wonder how tedious earlier it was to login if you were just using a password.
Battery life is going to be better than predator even though both laptops have 48 watt-hour battery. This laptop has an ULV processor that only draws 15w compared to 45 watts of the predators CPU. So when browsing, watching videos, working on word/excel this laptop uses way lesser power than predator but not sure how much battery the touch screen consumes but one thing is clear this laptop has better battery life than the 5-6 hr max better than the predator.
Attaching some videos of the laptop below: See if you can tolerate the glossy display you can see some reflections in the video and also display gets smudged when using the touchscreen, you can also see that in the video. Always carry a cloth for both this laptop and predator since they both are fingerprint magnets.
My opinion is it all depends on the price you are getting the laptop for. Also, this laptop is eligible for an extended warranty at Acer site so don’t forget to register for it.
Rs. 70000 now
With Microsoft student 2016 life time free ,8th gen i5 processor, can be used as Tab like lenovo yoga, touch sccreen IPS display brighter than predator ..better deal than Acer Predator deal ..it comes with Gtx 1050 4gb ..there is not much difference between Gtx 1050 it 4gb and Gtx 1050 4gb
