Try  brands  patanjali,  fena , ghari , likes.

They  are options  with competitive  pricing  and the products  are  all same  except fragrance  used in it.

Surf  and  Ariel  have  detiorated  over years and are just faux ad campaign

Try Ghaadi washing machine powder (launched few months back) costs 65/kg and decent enough for top load machines.

No TV commercials, no superstar fees paid so we are not paying premium for watching Salman khan washing clothes with hand.

Not commenting on quality of product but the statement for advertising is incorrect.
They give ads in newspapers, you can see ads in cricket matches ( hoardings ) and commercial ad on TV. Yes, do not have highly paid so called “Brand Ambassadors”

If you love your expensive clothes and washing machine then don’t use these cheap brands.

Buy Surf Excel or Ariel.

Yeah. Have been using Ariel only, had once got tide but it was really pathetic, so stopped buying cheap detergents

Wise decision. To save a few bucks, we also tried Ghadi detergent and Tide. But we ended up paying more in washing machine repairs because these cheap detergents leave undissolvable powder in the machine which eventually blocks it and they also contain detergent in higher amount which harm clothes and fade colors.

It doesn’t matter which product you buy, the cost will be same. You are paying one way or another. You require to add cheap detergent power more in quantity to wash same clothes and in addition to that it damages your clothes too. But in case of premium detergent powders, you are paying upfront.

Ariel is best. Try 4+2 kg in amazon, as it is cost effective. Surf sold in India is very different from what they sell in the west. Surf Indian version looks more of chalk powder.

Somehow I don’t like the smell of clothes washed with Ariel Matic. Used to add comfort now and then. We now use Surf Matic liquid and it’s great – washing wise & smell wise. No need to use comfort at all. Try it. I buy front load variant and use it in top load machine as we find it’s better than the top load variant.

These matic liquid detergents are a bit expensive, compared to others, but worth it as you consume less..

Can someone link to the best ariel matic on amazon please? Also probably a stupid query, but can these detergents (matics) be used for normal hand washing? Which is not done in machine? After using front loader for over 10 years now I simply prefer hand washing my clothes, at least, unlike the machine, I can remove any stain from the designated area as I see fit. I see some liquid matics are available nowadays, are those better than dust ones, and like I asked, are these for washing machine wash only?

Bro the machine wash ones contain strong chemicals, so if you wanna use them for hand wash, then use good quality gloves, else skin would be affected badly
Never tried liquid but heard its better than powder
Also, if you wanna use for hand wash, then the small sachets of 2 rupees are better and more cost efficient

Traditional detergents are designed to generate more foam because it gives the impression of better cleaning which has nothing to do with actual cleaning. On the other hand, matic detergents are designed to use in machines only so they do not create much foam because a high amount of foams prevent proper cleaning.

Matic detergents come with high quality enzymes, builders and more to better clean clothes. But pH level is generally higher in these powders so it is not good for hands. Overall, matic detergents are a much higher quality product and is better for clothes.

If you want to wash your clothes with hands then buy a handwash detergent powder. Ariel or Surf Excel are very good brands. Try them and decide which one works better for you.

Don’t use liquid detergents in general and it’s not for handwashing. Typically they are diluted and expensive version of matic detergents.
