What other option is there, even kobo is no longer available in croma or eBay, nook was never available, so we r stuck with kindle only

Yeah true, and the higher models like oasis r too much here.
I am using kobo , bought from croma offer for 2.1k, since 1.5 yrs, highly satisfied with it.
How is kobos performance… 2.1k sounds seriously cheap….
Its very good, all ereaders r supplied e ink displays by same company so all r equal. Also kobo can be modded, reads epub out of the box also has SD card.
Basically all these things don’t matter Much, even the light, use it for reading books, its not a tab 
One good feature in kobo, pocket integration, so if I stumble upon a good article on phone or PC, I just add it to pocket, and read aaramse on my kobo.

Any other way to get my hands on Kobo (h2o or any model), sucks that we have only kindle in India.

I need kindle supported books as if i download it from other source the display is not proper, zoom feature to enlarge the alphabets works best on kindle supported books from kindle store only..otherwise the zoom is erratic

No after sales service in India. In case of any problem all one is left doing is to use this as a paperweight. Why pay them good money for such pathetic attitude towards Indians?
