Yes. Mostly Jewllers 10% deduct karte hn on purity. But there are some that work with 5% deductions. So basically you can call them up, understand their policy on buyback etc.

I have purchased and sold a few gold coins. With Malabar, they deducted 2% for their own branded coin. This may be a store specific thing as they never answer the question in full. They won’t entertain any other brand’s coin though. Kundan said they will give 100% cashback but haven’t traded with them till now.

24karat.co.in has been a consistent buyer for me. They deduct 5% on purity for 24-carat coins and 3% for tax/billing etc but they may deduct 10% for 22-carat or less!
