been using a VU TV for around 4 years now I think – no issue whatsoever.

Generally used to be the TV to purchase in BBD when it was a flipkart exclusive.

so many now, vu , mi, oneplus, metz (a german company), Rca (usa). plus there are tcl and others. I guess its risk reward one can take, as mainstream brands are not giving features even at high costs

All tv manufacturers are scared of JIO. Jio may give UHD tv along with jio gigafiber. Not sure about brand etc but your credit limit will not be blocked since you will play with your monthly jio fiber and jio TV bill instead of d2h. Wait till Sep 5. Jio may tie up with some reputed brands as well.

Lol. People here comparing display quality of Sony and VU. Please guys.

Atleast for display, there is no match for Sony. Samsung also produces much brighter and high contrast displays, but is slightly over-saturated. You can go to croma and see the difference between all clearly. I’m not saying that VU is bad, my roommate’s experience hasn’t been that good with their FHD TV because of poor support, but that was 3-4 years ago. But comparing display with that of Sony is bad idea.

I totally believe you always get what you pay for. It’s just that some brands are now following new formula of lower margins to compete with Chinese brands.
