Yes i agree there are some benefits..
Nonetheless i don’t have any problems
People are buying 35k phones like hot cakes. https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_eek.gif https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_eek.gif
Then people say demonetization did this, it did that blah blah..
India is a poor country they say..well times they are a changin.

OnePlus,Xiaomi gives u Bang 4 BucK device..
They have created a huge fan base amongst them..
With similar specs expect the pricing of Samsung/Sony phones go above 60k++++

I bought this phone from Amazon in December itself.
The phone itself is good for the money but that is where the good things end.
The customer service of OnePlus is really pathetic. They don’t have much service centers and where they do have it’s the most unprofessional service i have experienced in my lifetime.
I have a gunmetal one of theirs, and it had a notoriusly noisy vibrating motor from the start. So naturally i wanted to have it replaced.
But the service center guys refuse to acknowledge it and make me wait 2 hours before confiming the issue.
I was right there and they were busy in own work rather than examining or atleast taking a look at my device.
Mind you it was afternoon and the service center had only two guys and no other customer there. And it was a shady place too.
Still haven’t got the phone back so can’t comment on service. They were supposed to update me today evening about the status but obviously they forgot.
I would say again that the phone is good. I won’t talk about it’s pros and cons as you’d get 100s of reviews which can go in depth more than i can.
But you don’t just buy the phone.
You buy the service too and when you have the need for it you feel pretty underwhelmed when you are treated badly.
That’s what the extra money these Apples’ and Samsungs’ cost you probably.
For OnePlus, you lost a customer today and i’m going to preach not-so-good things about you. For a company who believes in word of mouth and no advertisments, start looking into your priorities really! You talk really big!
Edit 1 : I had to call the service center myself and I was told they are going to downgrade the software!
For a hardware issue these guys are toiling around and wasting time!
I clearly emphasised that I’m not from the city and where I live there is no one plus service center and still they are wasting time!
I need the phone back by Sunday and they pay no attention to that!
Please don’t blindly go by specs, looks etc.
This is an unprofessional company. Really immature. They won’t pay heed to your problems.
30k is huge money and you deserve better services than this for that kind of money.

EDIT 2:
Being quoted 7-10 days for the repair. Also would like to share that companies like Apple provide you with a loaner phone in case of manufacturer fault with your phone. Speaking from personal experience. That is much better than having no phone!

Yeah I agree with whatever u said..
Dunno about Apple as I don’t intend to use it..
After sales service of most of the companies are below par nowadays..
I have 2-3 friends using Samsung phones..And my friend’s Samsung phone had a pblm which service center took a month to repair..
Same can be said for Sony as their After Sales Service is horrible..
All Android guys in my friend’s circle so no idea about iPhone after sales service..

I had similar experience with Samsung service center. Hence its not fair to single out one plus one. Actually the same service center was handling for micromax, karbon and samsung. So the extra money they charge goes into their pockets and not in providing good customer service.Almost all manufacturers service is pathetic.

Apples customer service is exception to this. They diagnose the iPhone in front of you and if issue is shown during diagnostics they replace phone within 2-3 days. My iPhone has been replaced couple of times.

Tbh my experience with samsung is always been good. They replaced my s2’s motherboard in week and speaker in single day.

Though only dedicated service centres can offer such services. Multi-branded are the worst one. Doesn’t matter which brand of smartphone if it’s by multi-branded service center , you’re out of luck
