Samsung 860 evo > Crucial MX500 > Kingston A400 > WD Green for 2.5" sata ssd(I know last 2 are both dram-less but judging from ssdbenchmark site stats,A400 is a bit faster).
But any of the above is worth getting at current prices(even without sale) especially if planning on running win 10.
For NVMe it is even simpler:
samsung 970 evo > Adata SX8200 pro(~10% slower than samsung) > intel 660p(best VFM nvme currently)
