Flipkart is not trust-able.
Whenever Flipkart drops the price there is always something fishy about the product..
Must be a returned or used product which FK wants to stock out..
Nowadays flipkart is selling used product so I have started ignoring FK deals..
Better buy 4TB at 10,500-10,800 with 15% coupon on ebay (Account specific)
Usual flipkart hater. Never had a bad experience with fk. Trust me once amazon too had sent me a duplicate product. Maybe bro u are unlucky with fk. So better avoid.
we cant just rule out his views
I have had many bad experiences from WS Retail (Flipkart) and Cloudtail (Amazon). Both had sent me used ones. Strangely Amazon had sent me used ones even for a 50k+ product too but these few instances arent going to stop me from purchasing
Agree none can be trusted this days. Its like u will get product depending on your luck. But the online deals are so tempting!
Guyz, do you really expect Flipkart/Amazon to throw returned items to bin even if ther are not defective?
Since both allow returns even if you no longer need the product.
both seller having return option why to worrry…. many years i bought from Amazon and flipkart… not even one product i returned

Not true.. Flipkart has such stiff competition from Amazon right now, they can’t even even think about being Shopclues.
Maybe you bought from low rated sellers and that’s always a risk on any platform.
WD Elements is much more slim and faster than elements.

Yo thanks everyone ,finally got it after 5 years been on this greatest shopping platform. Thanks
I’ve also been here since the early Yebhi days (remember 1000 off on 1500 deals) and I know exactly how it feels with 0 FPDs here
And thanks for the deal; I bought one too
The wd elements hard drive is pretty basic external portable hard drive that plugs into your system and works as you’d expect it to,
The passport drive on the other hand offers software support from WD including WDsmartware pro (lets you automatic backup &keeps data synced from your system), cloud backup feature, password protection and data encryption utilities all preloaded as u plug it in
So if all you care and need is a basic external storage drive go for the elements
But if you do want the utilities and play around with those get the passport drive.
Both are avilable in multiple storage and usb 3.0 options

WD Passport Ultra has hardware encryption (pretty useful IMO), cloud sync backup, and an internal fan which helps prolong the drive’s life. WD Elements has the exact same hard disk (i.e. same speed), but none of these extra features. However, because of the extra features, WD Passport Ultra might not be detected properly or work on non-PC devices like Xbox and Playstation. CC @dealer01

I had bought from wsretail . I had gone through 3 replacement and all were used products and lastly refund. Just search DD and find those deals which was termed as loot deal and read customers comments and judge yourself…
Whiteline food processor, Samsung Note 4 , Sol republic headphone, strontium flash drive are those deals which I am aware of that received used and open box product in name of price drop & clearance sale..

There’s no need to worry
Not all purchases will be the same
And even for that Note 4 deal, everyone was just bluntly relying on one Android app
Someone reported on that thread that after contacting customer care or service center they got to know that they are indeed original not used or refurbished
And for SOL republic that is expected as we have seen deals on that specific model like 3 or 4 times before, so some mightve got customer returned ones
For strontium deal, i placed two orders got one new and one tampered package
Returned the tampered one, happy with the new one i got
These things happen everywhere, no one is so serious about quality control even Cloudtail aka amazon is no exception
If you stop purchasing for this very reason then you wont be finding any good deals to buy at all
For HDD you can easily check warranty status with the serial number, so you can know the status without even opening the package

Warranty won’t be the full 3 years and would show from the date of import/manufacture as far as I remember. But then again it will at least show if it was registered ever and you can even send the invoice to WD support who would update the warranty accordingly.
