Do we hav to make reservations or we cn just swipe it like regular card after dinner????
You should make an appointment prior. After the bill is generated, you can pay directly from the app. No physical card is needed. (You should add the received e-voucher to your account prior itself)
Most important
You should make sure that the restaurant accepts smart pay before the bill is generated.
Dear,
If i m not wrong it can be used on the restaurant where you can make the payment only otherwise normally you can not use…the only advantage is the discount is 750 for 5k whereas its 300 max on 20% .So bigger bill its good.Yes. You are correct. Also add that this is a direct discount and other one is cashback (that too it varies between 10-20% for different restaurants)

20% cashback is flat ..it doesn’t vary…the only thing is cashback comes to dineout wallet which can be used for next dine in rest…whereas in GC its a flat off.so cash saving directly but 5 % less..so choice is personnel.
Oh I’m sorry.
GC need to be added to wallet and then it will be used for payments at smartpay restaurants.
I have been using Dineout app very frequently and effectively. Let me explain the points:
Firstly, these gift cards are not swiped. The balance is added to your account from Promotions/GVs screen under YOU tab.
There are various categories of restaurants and their tieups/offers with Dineout:-
1. The best and most convenient one is of those restaurants that have a ‘smartpay’ option. You can view this list by tapping on the smartpay banner among the various banners visible on the home screen of the app. This feature allows you to pay directly from the app at the restaurant after they prepare the bill on their system. Your app gets a notification, but even if the app does not show it, you can still go ahead to pay the bill amount by tapping PAY BILL under the restaurant screen.
Here, note a few points on using Dineout credit. The credit obtained from redeeming such Dineout gift cards (bought from Woohoo, Amazon etc) is fully redeemable without any condition of minimum bill amount. However, for redeeming earned promotional credit (referral, restaurant cashback, Dineout rewards or any promo code), your final bill amount including discounts and taxes must be Rs 500 or more. You can redeem the promo balance and GC balance fully, no part payment restriction on that. You get a 20% cashback (max usually Rs 500) on the amount paid from any source other than promo credit. So if you buy these GCs, you can earn 20% cashback on the amount paid from this balance. You earn this cashback by using e-wallets, cards etc too.
2. Next category is of those restaurants that allow 20% cashback (max usually Rs 300, no min bill amount) on bill upload. There are time and location conditions on this, read them in the app. Obviously, you can’t avail of this in addition to category 1 above.
3. Some restaurants occasionally offer additional discounts, BOGO, free drinks etc. Check them out from the banner link. These are over and above 20% cashback under either of the above 2 categories.
4. Finally, there are restaurants which offer nothing but still appear if you search by name.
Now note the Reservation rule. There are some restaurants which take reservation but don’t offer anything; some that take reservation and offer cashback under smartpay or bill upload, but reservation is not available or not mandatory; and finally, some who offer cashback ONLY if you make a reservation. These points will be clearly mentioned on the restaurant details screen.
Goohuu is better name for this
bad link wasted so much time you should mention only from that list!
