Data will only work on CDMA .
ZTE N919D is a much better phone with 1 GB RAM. I have been using it since Nov 2014. However, CDMA in India is now dying. Rel CDMA is already dead in most parts. MTS CDMA is also shutting down by Dec. TATA CDMA has also indicated shut down in some cities. So at this time, buying a new CDMA based phone is not wise.
