We live in a pathologically dissatisfied world. And I’m going to tell
you why. Because we love to compare.

Go around the world and discover that people aren’t happy with their
bodies. Filipinos want to be fair-complexioned like Westerners and so
buy bleaching stuff.

Westerners want to own bronzed bodies like ours and so purchase tanning
lotions. Those with moles have them removed, while those who don’t,
strategically implant beauty spots.

Some people want to shed a few pounds to look like Ally McBeal, while
others want to gain some baby fat to look like Drew Barrymore.

When are we ever going to stop and simply be happy with how we look? We
live in a sick world, I tell you. And that sickness is comparisonitis.

Take a look at wealth
When we drive our old Honda, it really suits us fine. We feel blessed
in fact when the rain pours outside and we feel snug and cozy on its
faded upholstered seats.

But the moment we see our own office mate (or neighbour, or buddy, or
cousin, or brother) drive his sleek sky-blue, four-door,
four-wheel-drive Mercedez, we automatically feel like third-class
people.

Next time we drive our bumpy, noisy, rusted, dilapidated Honda,(notice
how all the defects come out all of a sudden?), we feel deprived,
dispossessed, pariah-ish, debased and only a little higher than the
insects of the earth.

Listen carefully – Bill Gates’ total assets are worth $60 billion.
That’s more than the GNP of some small countries. Tiger Woods earns
$80 million simply by smiling on TV in a Nike shirt. And the stars
of the sitcom Friends are paid $750,000 per episode!

My point?

No matter how hard you work, there’ll still be some people who will be
richer than you are. And there’ll be some people who will be more
beautiful and have more problems.

Try it for once. Stop looking around. Don’t compare!
. Don’t compare her nose with your nose.
. Don’t compare his salary with your salary.
. Don’t compare her kids report card with your kids report card.
. Don’t compare his prayer group with your prayer group.
. Don’t compare her cellulite deposits with your cellulite deposits.

Stop comparing and Start living! And you’ll be happier with your life,
I guarantee.
This is crucial:
The most difficult thing in the world is to be who you are not.
Pretending and trying to be someone else is the official pastime of the
human race.
(I don’t think dogs and cats and cows and horses have this problem.)

And the easiest thing in the world is to be yourself. Be happy. Live!

There must be a reason why God made you tall or short or fat or thin or
bumpy all over.
Love who you are!
Be happy, it’s not that difficult!

Trust in God

A man who had just got married was returning home with his wife . They were crossing a lake in a boat, when suddenly a great storm arose. The man was a warrior, but the woman became very much afraid because it seemed hopeless since the boat was small and it seemed that any moment they were going to be drowned. But the man remained silent and was at peace , calm and quiet, as if nothing was happening.

The woman was terrified and trembling and asked, “Are you not afraid ?”. This may be our last moment of life! Only some miracle can save us; otherwise death is certain.

The man laughed and took the sword out of its sheath. The woman was even more puzzled: What was he going to do? Then he brought the naked sword close to the woman’s neck almost touching it.

He said, “Are you afraid ?”

She started to laugh and said,”Why should I be afraid? If the sword is in your hands, why I should be afraid? I know you love me.”

“He put the sword back and said, You have got the answer “. I know God Loves us , and the storm is in His hands

SO WHATSOEVER IS GOING TO HAPPEN IS GOING TO BE GOOD. If we survive, good; if we don’t survive, good, because everything is in His hands and He cannot do anything wrong.

Moral: Develop Trust in God who is capable of transforming your whole life. Everything happens for a reason.

[ ::: ♥Differentiate Between Sugar-Coated and Pure Human ♥ ::: ]

“Remember the next time you decide to give someone a chance whether it be for work or for friendship, go for the real thing and not the sugar-coated one”

These lines triggered some thoughts in my mind on what points to consider in differentiating between the genuine personality and sugar-coated human (the person who looks sweet from outside but having a grey or black heart). Below are my suggestions:

One or two observations are not enough to conclude. Take some time.
Instead of observing actions, check the habits. Sometimes actions may not portray the genuine inner personality; however habits can predict the character. Because habits trigger repetitive actions which transform into the overall personality.
Sometimes sugar coating is not done because of specific evil benefits instead may be it is because of ethical causes. Don’t think negative about such person; appreciate instead.

Look for ethical characteristics such as honesty, truthfulness, friendliness, down-to-earth.
Instead of using your eyes, use brain. Think logical and think carefully in concluding about some.

Advice To Youngsters…..

There are 1000-year old trees in the mountain, but not many 100 year-old people …………….
At most, you live until 100 years old (only 1 in 100,000).

If you live until 90, you only have 10 years…
If you live until 80, you only have 20 years …

Because you don’t have many years to live, and you cant take along anything when you go, you don’t have to be too thrifty. Spend the money that should be spent, enjoy what should be enjoyed, donate what you are able to, but don’t leave all to your children or grandchildren, for you don’t want them to become parasites.

Don’t worry about what will happen after you are gone,
you will feel nothing about praises or criticisms.
Don’t worry too much about your children for children will have own destiny and find their own way.
Don’t be your children’s slave.

Don’t expect much from your children.

Caring children, though caring, would be too busy with own jobs and commitments to render any help.
Uncaring children may fight over your assets even when you are alive, and wish for your early demise so they can inherit your properties. Your children may take for granted that they are rightful heirs to your wealth; but you have no claims to their money.

60 & older people like you : don’t trade in your health for wealth anymore ………….
Because your money may not be able to buy your health When to stop making money, and how much is enough (hundred thousands, million, ten million)?

Out of thousand hectares of good farm land, you can only consume three quarts (of rice) daily; out of a thousand of mansions, you only need eight square meters of space to rest at night.

So as long as you have enough food and some money to spend, it is good enough https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif So live happily https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif
Every family has problems. Don’t compare with others fame & social status or see whose children are doing better. But do challenge others for happiness, health and longevity.

Don’t worry about things that you can’t change because it never helps and it may ruin your health. You have to create your own well-being and find your own happiness. As long as stay happy, do happy things daily and have fun in doing, you will pass your time happily every day.

One day passes, you lose one day;
But when one day passes with happiness, you gain a day!!
In good spirit, sickness will cure;
In happy spirit, sickness will cure fast;
In good and happy spirit; sickness will never come.

Above all – learn to cherish the goodness around ……
and FRIENDS and FAMILY. They all make you feel young and “wanted” Without them you are surely going to feel lost!!

A crow lived in the forest and was absolutely satisfied in life.

But one day he saw a swan. “This swan is so white,” he thought, "and I am so black.

This swan must be the happiest bird in the world."

He expressed his thoughts to the swan. “Actually,” the swan replied, “I was feeling that I was the happiest bird around until I saw a parrot, which has two colours. I now think the parrot is the happiest bird in creation.”

The crow then approached the parrot. The parrot explained, “I lived a very happy life—until I saw a peacock. I have only two colours, but the
peacock has multiple colours.”

The crow then visited a peacock in the zoo and saw that hundreds of people had gathered to see him.

After the people had left, the crow approached the peacock. “Dear peacock,” the crow said, “you are so beautiful. Every day thousands of people come to see you. When people see me, they immediately shoo me away. I think you are the happiest bird on the planet.”

The peacock replied, "I always thought that I was the most beautiful and happy bird on the planet. But because of my beauty, I am entrapped in this zoo.

I have examined the zoo very carefully, and I have realized that the crow is the only bird not kept in a cage. So for past few days I have been thinking that if I were a crow, I could happily roam everywhere."

That’s our problem too. We make unnecessary comparison with others and become sad. We don’t value what God has given us. This all leads to the vicious cycle of unhappiness.

Have Life ahead valuing the things God has given us.

Learn the secret of being happy and discard the comparison which leads only to unhappiness.

A sage presented a prince with a set of three small dolls.
The prince was not amused.

“Am I a girl that you give me dolls?” – He asked.

“This is a gift for a future king,” Said the sage.
“If you look carefully, you’ll see a hole in the ear of each doll.”

The sage handed him a piece of string.
“Pass it through each doll.” – He said.

Intrigued, the prince picked up the first doll and put the string into the ear.
It came out from the other ear. “This is one type of person,” said the sage,
“whatever you tell him, comes out from the other ear.
He doesn’t retain anything.”

The prince put the string into the second doll.
It came out from the mouth.
“This is the second type of person,” said the sage,
“whatever you tell him, he tells everybody else.”

The prince picked up the third doll and repeated the process.
The string did not come out.
“This is the third type of person,” said the sage,
“whatever you tell him is locked up within him. It never comes out.”

“Who is the best type of person?” – Asked the prince.

The sage handed him a fourth doll, in answer.
When the prince put the string into the doll,
it came out from the other ear.

“Do it again.” – Said the sage.

The prince repeated the process.
This time the string came out from the mouth.
When he put the string in a third time,
it did not come out at all.

“This is the best type of person,” said the sage.

“To be trustworthy, a man must know when not to listen,
when to remain silent and when to speak out.”
