The Missing Goat

It all started one lazy Sunday afternoon in a small town near Toronto in Canada. Two school-going friends had a crazy idea. They rounded up three goats from the neighborhood and painted the number 1, 2 and 4 on their sides. That night they let the goats loose inside their school building.

The next morning, when the authorities entered the school, they could smell something was wrong. They soon saw goat droppings on the stairs and near the entrance and realized that some goats had entered the building. A search was immediately launched and very soon, the three goats were found. But the authorities were worried, where was goat No. 3? They spent the rest of the day looking for goat No.3. There was panic and frustration. The school declared a holiday for the students. The teachers, helpers and the canteen boy were all busy looking for the goat No. 3, which, of course, was never found. Simply because it did not exist.

We are all like those folks in the school – we may have our own goats, but are obviously looking for the elusive, missing, non-existent goat No.3. So instead of making the most of what we have and focusing on our strengths, we worry about the missing piece – our shortcomings.

Our mind is so programmed to see the things to completion, a continuity and a carry forwardness. If this is denied then the program gets messed up. An absence of something is always larger than presence of something.

Do the best you can with what you have and be grateful for what you get. Success and happiness will come your way. Stop worrying about goat No. 3!

A Bride in Haryana Interrupted the Wedding & Made the Groom Pledge to Educate 11 Girls
| The Better India

A wedding in Haryana took a very unique turn when the bride put a special condition before the groom, and everyone was left pleasantly surprised. This Friday, Poonam from Bilawal village in Bhiwani district of Haryana was getting married to Sandeep Kumar from Jhajjar. They exchanged garlands and were about to proceed for the final ritual of pheras, in which they would take the seven wedding vows. But before continuing any further, Poonam stunned everyone by saying that she wanted Sandeep to take a pledge. “What could it be?” wondered the guests.
She wanted him to promise that he would sponsor the education of 11 underprivileged girls.

Sandeep instantly agreed and took the pledge. All the other guests raised their hands as witnesses to the pledge. Poonam, a postgraduate from a local government college, has been working as an associate of a local social worker. She had heard about an eighth phera introduced by a Red Cross official in Bhiwani some years ago. That time, it was a pledge taken by the couple to not indulge in female foeticide. But Poonam wanted to do something challenging. Something that would make them capable of changing lives. As Sandeep runs a coaching centre, she decided that they should educate girls.
“I had been giving hints to my husband about a resolve I would want him to take and had told him I will reveal it at the right time. It is different as nobody takes such a pledge, and certainly not on wedding day. It is challenging because I will have to be an equal partner in ensuring that the pledge is fulfilled,” she told The Times of India.

India’s largest drugmaker Sun Pharma gets warning letter from US FDA

Reuters, Mumbai|

The warning indicates the agency is not satisfied with the remedial measures Sun Pharma has been taking at the plant since last September when the FDA first highlighted issues at the plant after an inspection.(AP)

Share Share Share
India’s largest drugmaker Sun Pharmaceutical Industries said it had received a warning letter from the US Food and Drug Administration for violating manufacturing standards at its Halol plant in western India.

The warning indicates the agency is not satisfied with the remedial measures Sun Pharma has been taking at the plant since last September when the FDA first highlighted issues at the plant after an inspection.

Sun Pharma said it had made “significant investments” in automation and training to improve quality systems at the plant, hired external consultants, and been updating the agency on the corrective measures it was taking.

But the letter suggests the company is still months away from getting its plant cleared by the FDA and the FDA could ban all drug imports from the plant if Sun Pharma fails to fix issues there.

The company has not received approvals for drugs it manufactured at the Halol plant since last September, which has hurt its sales in its largest market, the United States. The approvals situation will continue until it resolves all FDA concerns, the company said.

The warning to Sun Pharma is the latest in a series of FDA actions over the past year against drug manufacturing plants in India, which supply about 40 per cent of the medicines sold in the United States.

Dozens of Indian firms, including some of the country’s largest drugmakers, have faced warnings and bans over the past year, as the agency stepped up inspections of foreign manufacturing plants. Facilities of multinational firms manufacturing in India have also faced similar action.

Sun Pharma said it was cooperating with the FDA and “willing to undertake any additional steps necessary to ensure that the US Agency is completely satisfied with our remediation of the Halol facility.”

“Sun Pharma has always ensured that its products are safe and effective and there is no doubt on the safety of our products in the market,” Managing Director Dilip Shanghvi said in a statement issued on Saturday.

The company said it was taking steps to address the problems outlined by the FDA and that it would request a re-inspection of the Halol facility once it had completed the remedial steps.

It did not say when exactly the warning letter was issued. The letters are usually posted on the agency’s website a week after they are sent to the manufacturer.

*The Story of Adam’s & Eve’s Pets…… *

Adam and Eve said, ‘Lord, when we were in the Garden, you walked with us every day. Now we do not see you any more. We are lonesome here, and it is difficult for us to remember how much you love us.’

And God said, I will create a companion for you that will be with you and who will be a reflection of my love for you, so that you will love me even when you cannot see me. Regardless of how selfish or childish or unlovable you may be, this new companion will accept you as you are and will love you as I do, in spite of yourselves.’

And God created a new animal to be a companion for Adam and Eve.

And it was a good animal and God was pleased.

And the new animal was pleased to be with Adam and Eve and he wagged his tail.

And Adam said, ‘Lord, I have already named all the animals in the Kingdom and I cannot think of a name for this new animal.’

And God said, ‘I have created this new animal to be a reflection of my love for you, his name will be a reflection of my own name, and you will call him DOG.’

And Dog lived with Adam and Eve and was a companion to them and loved them.

And they were comforted.

And God was pleased.

And Dog was content and wagged his tail.

After a while, it came to pass that an angel came to the Lord and said, ‘Lord, Adam and Eve have become filled with pride. They strut and preen like peacocks and they believe they are worthy of adoration. Dog has indeed taught them that they are loved, but perhaps too well.’

And God said, I will create for them a companion who will be with them and who will see them as they are. The companion will remind them of their limitations, so they will know that they are not always worthy of adoration.’

And God created CAT to be a companion to Adam and Eve along with Dog.

And Cat would not obey them. And when Adam and Eve gazed into Cat’s eyes, they were reminded that they were not the supreme beings.

And Adam and Eve learned humility.

And they were greatly improved.

And God was pleased..

And Dog was happy.

And the Cat . . .

didn’t give a shit one way or the other.

Spiritual Poop

Traffic stalled on the Freeway, and traffic stalling in your mind are different, because the ‘Freeway’ let’s go of jams. There is no easy ‘freeway’ in the mind of denial to let go of jams. Currently, we have a concern with one gigantic group of knockoffs from the Abrahamic Jewish tradition called Islam. Islam got stalled in the 7th century, but is supposed to be followed as it was then written into the Quran. Adherents become stalled. Well … different people will follow different sayings in the Quran with most ignoring the negative outrageous commands that were the ‘in thing’ in the 7th century. However, the blocks even when ignored are implanted in the unconscious.

Stalled in freeway traffic is always temporary. Looping your negative conditioning, which makes you stuck from transcending into new and better behaviors, is ‘whited out’ from conscious recognition. Moving into too much outer stimuli for your own ego’s benefit is to shut down the flow of energy to promote inner self growth. When physical growth tops out, then its on with the flow of evolving wisdom as you age like a magnificent old tree that continues to grow higher and higher with a better view. Inner stagnation is a death of opportunity!

AT this moment, humanity in America has settled into figuring out how to use the next new ‘toy’ and it’s sophistication while it’s soon becoming outdated. Consumerism and distractions stifle the thinking that is prudent for keeping up with the changes that aren’t happening to adapt to a world out of control with the growing gap of technology betwixt the human mind and heart’s ability to grow. How long will it take to figure out what is going wrong? A breakthrough in human consciousness is needed right NOW! Fears will grow as complacency continues to grow! You, if you are like most, are an inner lemon compared to the outer changes flashing before your eyes! Time to make lemonade out you being the lemon, and it’s starts with a revolution in the mind and heart.

Lemons into lemonade and poop into fertilizer is moving in the right direction. Moving in circles is to go nowhere! There ain’t no sunshine when you’ve got blinders on. Find the right zone for self evolvement. I call it the Goldilocks Zone principle:
“This porridge is too hot,” Goldilocks exclaimed.
So she tasted the porridge from the second bowl.
“This porridge is too cold.”
So she tasted the last bowl of porridge.
“Ahhh, this porridge is just right!” she said happily.
And she ate it all up.

Just grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked, the good fortune to remember the
ones I do, and the eyesight to tell the difference.

Now that I’m older here’s what I’ve discovered:

1. I started out with nothing, and I still have most of it. 2. My wild oats are mostly enjoyed with prunes and all-bran. 3. I finally got my head together, and now my body is falling apart. 4. Funny, I don’t remember being absent-minded. 5. Funny, I don’t remember being absent-minded. 6. If all is not lost, then where the heck is it ? 7. It was a whole lot easier to get older, than to get wiser. 8. Some days, you’re the top dog; some days you’re the hydrant. 9. I wish the buck really did stop here; I sure could use a few of them. 10. Kids in the back seat cause accidents. 11. Accidents in the back seat cause kids. 12. It’s hard to make a comeback when you haven’t been anywhere. 13. The world only beats a path to your door when you’re in the bathroom. 14. If God wanted me to touch my toes, he’d have put them on my knees. 15. When I’m finally holding all the right cards, everyone wants to play chess. 16. It’s not hard to meet expenses . . . they’re everywhere. 17. The only difference between a rut and a grave is the depth. 18. These days, I spend a lot of time thinking about the hereafter . . .I go somewhere to get

something, and then wonder what I’m “here after”.

19. Funny, I don’t remember being absent-minded.

The other day I was preparing fresh lime water for the first time.

I ended up adding five times the amount of lemon than needed. It was a disaster!!
It tasted so sour that one sip of it would have been enough to make a dinosaur dance. I had to correct it anyhow.

How I wish I could remove some lemon juice from water to make it taste perfect again! But alas! Some things can never be undone.

Some things can never be changed.
There was no way to remove the extra lime.
So what was the solution then?
The only way to correct this was to add four more glasses of water and dilute the lemon juice to make five glasses of fresh lime water.
This made me think…
Sometimes we cannot undo some things that have gone wrong in life.

Some wrong decisions, wrong choices, wrong investments, wrong actions, wrong associations, wrong words or wrong doings can never be undone.

So what is the solution then?
When you cannot correct what is wrong, do not waste more time over it.
It is like attempting to remove lemon from water.
Instead, get busy in adding so many right things in your life that the wrong seems insignificant.

*We all have a negative side to ourselves.
We may not be able to remove or correct all our negativities. But we can definitely continue adding positive thoughts, positive reading and positive people in our lives and dilute the negativity.

We all have to deal with some easy people and some difficult people in our lives.

Do not waste time trying to change the difficult people. You will drain all your emotional energy in vain.
Instead spend more time with the pleasant positive happy people and the difficult people will not affect you any more.
We all have been through lows in life and we cannot change that.

But if we now add new highs in life, we will dilute the lows, isn’t it?
In the end life will seem ‘mostly high’.
We all have scars in life.
We all have been through some pain in life.
We all have made mistakes in life.
We all have unfulfilled dreams, unanswered prayers.

We cannot remove these bitter memories from life but we could get busy making new happy memories now.
Everything in your life will never be perfect.
Do not waste too much time correcting what is wrong.
Get busy doing the right things.*
