When Kashmir flooded, similar discrimination was there. That time also Assam was submerged under water but Modi could saw only Kashmir & PoK.

condition of Assam is even worse and its not a new thing, every year same situation, the previous govt didnt took any preventive measure,, not the new one too..
PM himself dividing the Country
Well can’t say about dividing country but yes north eastern states all together don’t receive much of funds from central government as the other states which are ruled by the party which is in centre. I hope the central government releases fund for the devastation caused by floods in assam.

In case of natural calamity centre government releases fund depending on the effect of destruction caused by it. The government can’t discriminate on basis of which state contribute more to GDP and which one less. The smaller states where development is not much should be taken great care. The nation cannot develop truly only with few states.
Also release or withholds based on whims or to create pressure, show bias.

Same date(25th July) PM visited Gujarat and send a team to visit Assam. It means PM thoght eqally about Assam also. On his visit he also provided 2350 core package which is 4 times more than package announced for gujarat.
IMO, no need to comapre situation of both states early. But I think author (of Indiatimes link you provided) is anti modi and which anyone can see. He updated that article on august 1, but no mention of relief funds. He also wrote another article
but sadly no mention of relief funds there also. He started article on criticizing pm’s gujarat visit and repeating that 3 times in an article on Assam. 
I really pitty such people.
We have to be really careful while reading or sharing news as media these days interested more in spreading their malicious propaganda rather than showing real news.
