Received a damaged product from paytm mall

I had ordered an electric kettle from paytm mall and the seller named ‘Zrpl’ had sent me a defective item. When I opened the box I found that the package itself is damaged and it looks pretty old. When I opened it I found no warranty card inside the box and the kettle has scratches on the bottom which clearly indicates that it was used earlier. After that I plugged in the kettle to test whether it is working or no but it didn’t work at the first 2 levels of heat. It only worked at the topmost boiling point but that too was not promising. It worked sometimes and it sometime it didn’t worked at all.. However I filed a return request and let’s see whether I will get my money back or no.
