Scalped by Infibeam: Need help

I’m the latest person to be scalped by Infibeam’s refund policy.

I ordered a Dell Monitor on 1st July, but later they asked for ID, which I provided the very next day and asked for confirmation of delivery by 6th July, which they provided.
On 5th July it wasn’t even shipped so I asked them to cancel it and I’ll purchase from a local Dell Store.
They mailed and confirmed that the refund will be completed in 4-5 business days.
I call them after 5 days they tell me the bullshit story that the amount is stuck with some payment gateway, which they won’t name, or provide contact details for. And after talking to a senior guy I got to know that it could take another week and I should check up with me bank.
Next I call my bank and they tell me that I have been most likely been a victim of Cyber Fraud. eek
I call Infibeam again and they assured me that it’s nothing like that and I should wait for another 5 days.
Next I call them on this Tuesday, 16th July. I asked about my status and the lady on the phone asks me to wait for another 5 days, after some argument she tells me that I’ll get a refund by Thursday positively. I asked her to mail the confirmation to me. Hours later I get no mail and I call them again. Talk to a few senior guys, but no one is ready until a really senior guy who says he’ll send a mail the same day itself. But no mail.

Forget about the refund they are not even ready to confirm a date, by which I should expect by amount. They just keep telling me the refund process takes 7 to 21 days. I asked the guy to send me a mail with the date adding 21 days to my cancellation. But no luck.

My order id is 11051759 and the amount was 17627.

I tried messaging them on Facebook and Twitter, but no luck.

Next I’m sending a mail to Delhi Cybercell. Could someone provide the email id for the Infibeam’s CEO so I could CC it to them as well.

It was done using a Debit Card, so can we dispute those payments?

Even my 300 × 2 are stuck with them….they told me to charge back via bank…but payment was done with debit card

So i strongly recommend not to buy from these thieves

same with me they gave a Auth id and merchant id and said to contact bank customer care and you know how sbi customer care is lol order placed on 9th canclled on 11th . they are saying it was ccavenue payment gateway but when i contacted ccavenue they said that this transaction was not done via their gateway highly pissed off it was an amount of 17099 for canvas 4 i need my money back soon to buy new phone

after i disputed the amount with amex, i got a refund after 15 days of raising a dispute. otherwise infibeam was doing nothing and sitting on it

I have been calling them again since last evening.

Talked to their Evening Shift supervisor. I simply asked him to send me a mail confirming the max date by which I can expect my refund.
He told me it’s 21 days, so I asked him to add 21 to 6 and send the mail with 27th July as the date.
He said he’ll send the mail in an hour.
Didn’t get any mail obviously.
Again talked to a supervisor today. First he said he can’t give me a date.:shock:
I asked him so its possible that I could receive the refund posthumously. He said no it’s 21 days max.
So I asked him did you learn maths in school, then please apply it, and send the date as 27th July.
He after some argument agreed to send the mail in half an hour. But I’m not expecting the mail.

Asked him to transfer the call to a senior, but he was the senior most person available.

Update: Got the mail but again it lists no date.

@ Aish – Call Them and keep asking for a final date of refund, on mail. Or they’ll keep asking you to contact the bank.

Update 2 – Talked to their manager ‘Raj Shekhar’. He finally told me that they can’t make any commitment for the final date. So instead I asked him to give the contact details of the Payment Gateway. They gave me the name “CCAvenue” and will give me the TXN id as well, on a callback or mail.

Also he said that if within 21 days I don’t get a refund, then only they’ll take it further.

thamx nitin i got a confirmation from them that refund has been initiated and by wednesday or thursday i would get money for sure. and i have raised a claim with bank they will look and settle within 10days so either way i will get money within 1 week

Update: Just talked to a Customer Service Manager, Anthony Dsouza. He told me that the Auth Code is The txn ID, which apparently none of the Infibeam staff knew. Another assurance that I’ll get the mail in 15 minutes, which ‘Raj Shekhar’ didn’t send through.

I have also Purchase from Infibeam around three months ago(around 8000 r.s item) and then they cancelled my order and done refund but till one month i did not received refund then i contact to the bank then they register my complain and then after 7 days of complain i received refund,so contact ur bank and tell them all that you still not received refund they will help you in this.

P.S: – After seeing Infibeam’s deteriorating service, I had decided never to shop with them by paying online. A big mistake. Only order items on COD. since ur value was high and not possible to pay on COD, don’t order ever from these guys at all, if item cost exceeds 1000 bucks. My thumbs down to this crappy website.

Thanks. Already contacted the CEO two weeks ago no response. It appears that Infibeam is selling out soon.

Also filled the form with my bank branch last Friday. No refund till today.

i can’t believe I ordered on this crappy site, seeing their whole page Times of India ads, I thought they were genuine.

Another Update. What a bunch of jerks, the Infibeam lot. After I chased down CCavenue with my transaction, they told me it isn’t their gateway. I confronted Infibeam and they told me that they are sorry and they have used the HDFC payment gateway. The person I’m in touch with is a Customer Service Manager. I wonder how the company manages to stay in profit, if any.

Another Update – Day 30th.

No refund yet. Talked to their Assistant Manager – Operations. – Ravi Ambani. Tells me that it’s not infibeam’s fault and they are not to be held responsible and it’s probably the banks fault. https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_eek.gif
After a lot of intense arguing, he tells me that infibeam will catch the amount from the payment gateway and then do a reverse back, and will incur whatever fees is to be paid for that.
Waiting for their callback and confirmation for the date and everything.

Finally received the refund today. On 30th day. Tip for other users, just talk to the senior most people in their office, because the junior guys have no idea whatsoever.

order ID : 13433417 (RMA ID: 22266 ) please update the status. more than 3 months i called infibeam customer care and talk also sent many mails. but still no one solve my problem, always said wait for 1 day.more than 3 months no one ll come and repick that damaged product so i spent 60 rs to ship back that item. they received the damaged item, more than 15th days still they told wait for some time to process. how many times and how many days i am going to wait i dont know. today also i called infibeam ccare. the number not tollfree so i lost my 17 minute valuable time and more than 20rs . no solution., they cut my call after listen my issue and hold sometimes. please take immediate action and please eply only one answer. whether i ll get my refund or not., please do the needful. please do the needful soon. please help me.

In the lure of better pricing, I purchased a Western Digital My Book 4TB (WDBFJK0040HBK), external HDD from www.infibe...om on April 12, 2015. I got the product delivered at my office address on Friday April 17, 2015 afternoon when I was not in office. Saturday and Sunday was our weekly off and I opened the parcel on Monday afternoon and found that infibeam had provided me with a defective piece (that’s why the better pricing!) and the USB 3 chord provided could not be plugged into the HDD. I immediately complained online and I “promptly” got a response that since I had complained after 72 hours, the same would not be entertained! This policy of 72 hours is ridiculous considering that other reputed online retailers like flipkart and amazon do not have such flimsy policies. Also, it is heartening to note that I had complained just after 72 hours hours and even after explaining to them about the fact that the product was delivered at my office address and that I had opened it at the first instance of my availability and that I had complained almost within their stipulated 72 hours window, has gone to deaf ears…
The purpose of this communication is to make you aware of such spurious online vendors and to strictly avoid becoming a prey to their unscrupulous ways of luring innocent customers into their net.

charge back with debit card is possible…i did it 10 days ago with bank of baroda and got my amount in 5 days….neither i have to go to bank just mailed them once and they did all for me…was really surprised by their service…
and last i faced refund problem with amazon…they told that they have refunded but i didnt got the amount…
but they do provide refund id to chargeback with bank

True, infibeam is a third rated company with not even a Tollfree no and they say that your product is despatched but never, I called them a hundred times, but they still give vague answers like processing blah blah blah, even I mailed their ceo vishal Mehta and he doesn’t even care to reply nor act, he belongs to the most dubious kind of person, I suggest to never buy anything on infibeam coz even the ceo too is a scammer.
