From my last two years of experience on this website, I have come to know that if you want to famous your deal then first you should have famous in desidime.
Karma points create a lot of personality in this case. Because the karma point fixing the value that, how appropriate can the user decide on his deal.
This is a good way to verify the value of the user but it is one of the big points to be famous in desidime. Some users have verified the deal creator that how many karma points he/she belong before checking his/her deals.
There are some users who see dealer’s name beside the deal, to believe it and to find out that he would hit like button, or hit dislike button.This is not a mistake of desidime, This is a false idea of the people that only the Famous users can leave a good deal.
Partiality can be found when two deals of equal benefits are posted and one of them gets many likes and comments only for its famous creator and the other gets nothing except 2-3 comments.
So, if you change the thinking, then this partiality can be removed or there is no other way to fix it.
I do not want to hurt anyone but it happened to me so I feel it.

Desidime once again proved what I felt a few days ago. Although there are two deals of similar benefits, Desidime creates the FPD whose the Creator Famous. So the website is just for the Famous people. or Desidime started doing the partiality. Desidime strictly resists reposts but why it doesn’t compare Similar deal before making it famous (FPD)? Today a deal has been promoted to FPD which has similar benefits to another deal, another deal was not looked out for its unfamous creator. This partiality is breaking the minds of new dimers. who is already famous will keep Famous and will not give any opportunity to the newcomer.

Hotness is decided on various factors including how many people click out or avail the deal. So being famous doesn’t guarantee hotness. There are famous dimers who sometimes don’t get enough votes and hotness on their deals.
Being famous will always have its perks whether in a community or a society. Here senior dimers get votes easily since they have been posting good deals since long and are consistent.
Please try to understand that we do not consider only votes as a factor while promoting FPDs. So no matter how many dimers vote a deal we are going to look for reasons why to promote it and why not to. We are also trying to help newbies and low rank dimers by voting their deals, giving inputs on how to improve and encouraging them to share better deals.
@Nigel My statement is not that how many hotness got a deal. My point is that the karma point is creating an identity. As a result, new members leave a good deal, but they don’t get any votes or clicks. Which breaks their morale. It’s not just my idea that the karma point is creating partiality. Many senior dimers have said so many times in this regard. Even a couple of years ago when I was promoted in my first FPD, a senior dimer @DealExpert mentioned this problem. Based on click and likes if a famous person’s deal can be promoted then the new member needs a team that will fix their deal promotion.
Because very few dimers check the new member deal.
