On login it takes to a different page

So, I am not logged in and am browsing a thread. And now I want to add a comment/reply whatever. So I click login and enter my credentials and hit ok. Instead of the thread I was looking at, I am taken to a different thread. This is so annoying.
I have to hit the back button and then hit refresh to post.
