666/84 days work out to Rs.240/mth.
Family plans, by their very nature are not for single users but for the entire family, where there may be a senior citizen, one or two school/college going kids and two adults. It brings the convenience of one person paying for the entire family through a single bill. And of course, the main difference is in data. For prepaid, there is daily data limit. 2 GB/day is not the same as 60 GB/mth. For prepaid, even if you have not used any data for 5 days, you cannot use 10 GB on the 6th day. But with postpaid, that is possible. Not only that, with data roll over, it is also possible to use 25 GB in one month and 75 GB in the next month. Also, in a family plan, the data is shared. So the teenager daughter can end up using 60% of the family share while the grandma may not be using any data, all without affecting the total family cost.

And if you have Airtel Axis Credit card, then the cost becomes further less by 25%. Of course, we do not know how long this will last.

Airtel was the original in offering family plan, since many years, even before the launch of Jio postpaid. I personally have Airtel family plan since 2017. So it cannot be said that their offerings are in reaction to Jio. Or course, there has been changes from time to time in the composition of the plans they offer.

Prices should be mentioned after GST is added for unbiased comparison.

Correct, which is why postpaid recharges aren't suitable for everyone. However, as compared to Prepaid plans, postpaid come with more additional benefits like offers on OTT platforms, or even other services like DTH (offered in Airtel Black postpaid) and hence, they are expensive.
Also, the extra benefits of
i. postpaid plans are not inflated as Prepaid does. I opted for ₹199 plan since beginning with airtel. So, didn't increased till date. Prepaid price may rise in future by 20% (eg https://www.businesstoday.in/amp/technology/new...)
ii. Postpaid have highly specific customer service which gives priority and avoid pong wait calls.
iii. (a)Postpaid plans can be changed even in the middle of the plan,
iii. (b). Data boosters are lesser priced. Eg. Airtel gives 15 GB at 100, 35GB at 200 which has more effectively priced than Prepaid.
iv. Network Coverage is improved (may be myth, but feel so)
