It's been a long time coming and the wait is over! OnePlus has recently announced the release of its first smartwatch. Both basic health-tracking sensors are included in the latest OnePlus Watch with a circular dial design.

The basic version of the current smartwatch costs Rs 16,999. The price of the upcoming Cobalt Limited Edition watch is yet to be announced. The company revealed the news with an eight-second teaser that they shared on Twitter on March 23rd, 2021.

According to the company's announcement, the OnePlus smartwatch will be launched on 15th April 2021 at 9 Am. On the same day as the announcement of the smartwatch, the company will also unveil its next-generation flagship smartphones, the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. Their previous launched teaser included the OnePlus Nord N1 5G which is set to launch in June has the Oneplus users awaiting.

The OnePlus Watch is built with around a 46mm stainless steel case and a 1.39-inch touch screen. It's only available in Midnight Black, but you can change the watch faces and the belt with third-party options to make it your own.

The smartwatch is also available in a "Cobalt Limited Edition," which is a little more rugged than the standard version. The display is sapphire glass, and the case is made of cobalt alloy (which is twice as strong and corrosion-resistant as stainless steel).

OnePlus Smartwatch Features

The OnePlus Watch has a built-in GPS, a heart-rate monitor, and SPO2 sensor, stress monitoring, and inactivity reminders, among other features. The watch is waterproof up to 5 ATM (50 metres) and IP68 certified, which ensures it can withstand dust and water.

It also has more than 110 exercise modes, including Parkour Mode (yes, you heard that right) and automatic running and jogging track. You'll be able to monitor your stats from a separate OnePlus Health app while your action is monitored on the smartwatch.

OnePlus Smartwatch Price in India

In terms of price and availability, the OnePlus Smartwatch Classic Version will be priced at Rs 14,999, while the Cobalt Limited Edition's price is yet to be decided. It will be available for sale on April 14th on Flipkart. The Oneplus watch offers an additional Rs 2000 off on purchase with your SBI Credit Cards and EMI transactions.

Oneplus is not premium, they are just wannabe premium, at least for products other than mobiles.

Earlier Oneplus phones were flagships, agreed. Now more marketing and hype, with less substance.

And not at all value for money for TVs and other products.
