About Asus Zenfone 3 Max(3 GB RAM) Silver

Asus ZenFone has focused on offering long battery life and this strategy has paid off in India. Asus ZenFone Max 3 adds more juice and power at the users’ hand compared to its predecessor Asus ZenFone Max

Pick it up and the contoured (2.5D) glass front with uni-body aluminum back and sides makes it look amazingly premium and classy. The design is quite conventional with rounded corners and Asus makes it slimmer than its predecessor, a welcome move. The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow topped by ASUS ZenUI 3.0 UI. It has a decent fingerprint scanner at the back and the UI’s Game Genie does take gaming experience to a whole new level.

The 16 MP, f/2.0 front PixelMaster Camera has Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) and 5p Largan Lens which is great for day as well as night photography, easily capturing colours even in not so favorable lighting conditions. It has dual-LED (dual tone) flash and packs features such as panorama, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection. The 8MP front camera packs in many features but is ordinary in its quality. The phone has 32 GB Internal memory, can be expanded to 256 GB using a microSD card in the hybrid SIM 2 slot, surely one of the phone’s downsides.

The 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 CPU clocks 1.4GHz and with Adreno 505 GPU and with 3GB of RAM doles out great performance making it ideal for multi-tasking. Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 CPU seems out of place in a phone in this price bracket and can make the phone sluggish at times. On connectivity side it supports five bands of 4G  and VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot, Bluetooth 4.1, A2DP, LE, microUSB 2.0 and has A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS

ZenFone 3 Max comes with 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display and has 401 ppi and Oleophobic coating for protection. The display is fairly bright even under sunlight with colors being vibrant and offering excellent viewing angles. The 4100 mAh Li-Ion non-removable battery is one of its biggest highlights and has standby time of 38 days!

Great Battery Life and Slim Design Make Asus ZenFone 3 Max A Great Deal

The success of ZenFone Max gave Asus a fair idea about the demands in the Indian market and the latest ZenFone 3 Max improves upon most aspects of its predecessor and does away with the bulky design. So here is our final verdict for the Asus ZenFone 3 Max.

Why Should You Buy?

Battery: If you hate running out of juice while gaming and watching lots of videos this phone is just meant for you in the mid-range smartphone segment. The 4,100mAh battery doesn’t run dry even after fair active usage for two days

Fingerprint Sensor: The fingerprint sensor is fast and responsive and surely the best in its category. What’s more you can easily program it to read shortcuts allowing you one-hand operation for the most important activities.

Any Alternative?

Lenovo Z2 Plus: If compared side by side with the Lenovo Z2 Plus, Asus ZenFone 3 Max losses out on the processor, RAM, internal storage and network options.  The Z2 Plus is a nicely packaged phone that packs in a lot of punch in this category.
