Government of India is running a Domestic Efficient Lighting Programme (DELP) under which they are promoting the usage
of LED bulbs. These bulbs are sourced from top national brands and manufacturers such as Philips, Bajaj, HPL, Crompton, OSRAM, Orient
and others.
This initiative is being run through Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) which is a Government Body. Snapdeal has partnered with EESL to distribute these bulbs across the country.
Every eco-friendly bulb comes with a 3 year warranty and will result in 75% power savings. In the rare case of a bulb not working, they could be easily replaced by contacting the customer care number present on the package.

These are available at nearest electricity bill payment offices. I saw the same today 99rs for a 9w led with 3year warranty.
on snapdeal u have to pay shipping charges extra. but didn’t like the quality so didn’t buy at the office.

Superb quality bulbs… 6-7 months back I got 10 such bulbs of 7W each at Rs 99/bulb.. All are working superb.
9W bulb at Rs 99 is an excellent deal. (Rs 40 shipping is okey… Don’t forget that you are getting these delivered at your doorstep, without requiring to step out of home.)

had bought eveready 9w from pepperfry it cost me 226/- for 2 bulbs after discount and cashbacks got 4 batteries worth Rs.140/- too with the bulbs

It’s a mix. You get 3 yr warranty for each bulb irrespective of manufacturer

It is mentioned that you need to call a toll free number printed on the pack and they will tell you whereto get the replacement from

Buddy where in lko u got Philips make? I only got Surya and Orient?
These local company wont promise on warranty. Its very difficult to contact them. I bought some local LED from ebay. They mentioned 1 year warranty and it went off within 1 month. Now seller says, its manufacturer warranty and not seller duty. So, better to buy from nearby store or from branded company where you can locate store quickly.
This is just my feedback. May be many have have other opinions.
