I had ordered 2 cards, one for 10k and one for 5k. Both were not activated despite mail and couldn’t visit the branch either.. (haven’t visited my own bank branch in 3 years).
Anyways Raised A-Z Claim for 5k card a week back and received money 3 days ago.
Raised A-Z Claim for 10k card yesterday. Found amex cards much better. Can be used at major sites without issue and offline is accepted at most of the places.. no activation crap… no running around for VBV. And no fuel surcharge at HP petrol stations.
As per prepaid customer care and local branch the process is that the local branch has to send an email to the Axis bank Mumbai backend team(don’t know the email ID) and the card will be activated within 48 hrs of receipt of that email.
My local branch sent that email y’day so hopefully my card should get activated tomorrow. I will post an update tomorrow.

If that’s the case, how did the cards arrive pre-activated last time?

This is in case the card is not pre-activated and sending email to [email protected] also does not work.
My first two cards were pre activated, third one got mysteriously activated while talking to prepaid CC on their telebanking number and fourth one is in the process via local branch. Whether its going to get activated or not, I will know only tomorrow
I am just posting the activation process via local branch, nothing more nothing less. . Don’t kill/injure the messenger please.

Arey yaar, I just got doubtful. Didn’t want to kill you.

I knew that. I was j/k too.
Anyway I am trying to get the entire process in detail from my local branch so that if my card gets activated all those who couldn’t get it done from their local branch can ask their respective branches to follow this procedure.

But my question is why the fcuk they didn’t deliver it pre-activated? Why should we go through all the hassle to get things done? I rode 10 km to and fro my local branch, all in vain. Never to deal again with these suckers.

I know. My sentiments exactly but luckily my branch is just a kilometer away, otherwise I too would have filed a claim by now. Then again if my card doesn’t get activated by tomorrow, I will have to file the claim anyway.

Guys, just send a mail to [email protected] with you card number. It will get activated in 2 days (although you won’t get any reply). Just try after two days. I activated card in same manner
This didn’t work for both my cards. I have already mailed that email ID on 23rd May but still haven’t received a response and I have replied back to that same mail yesterday(28th May) night and still waiting for a response.
Can someone provide me a picture of package of this card. Bluedart is saying that my package is received by security. But the security guard is unable to find the package. Is this package very small?

Wooohoooo!!!! My card was finally activated today via the local branch and I was able to register successfully for VBV. Haven’t transacted yet though.
Here is what happened. Local branch sent an email to Mumbai backend team on Thursday last week. Team responded asking for funding file whatever that is on Friday. Sent Amazon Order details. Team sent across an excel file on Monday (apparently they had a holiday on Saturday) to the local branch asking for customer name, place where card was bought from, Order number, My address, name, beneficiary etc.
After sending all that, the card was activated today.

Thanks for this. Decided not to file claim after reading this. Going to try the same.

That’s very good service from Amazon. This is what differentiates Amazon from others. That means we can re-order straight away at the same discounted price after getting the refunds with this.
