I have a BIG doubt and also the Seller Review disturbs me more on it…..

When you buy a product, then their is a small probability that that the product might malfunction (electronics can anyways malfunction even if it is made by NASA for trillion dollars). But as a consumer, if your product keeps working good, then there is a very low probability that you would even bother to go online and post what you think about the product (eventually you will junk the mails amazon sends you because they are bugging you when your device is working fine). Let’s say your device crapped up, then there is 99% probability you would share your bad experience wherever you can so someone hears you. So if there are 92 reviews and only 10 say that it sucks and a 1-star product then keep in mind they are 100% sufferers and are sharing as much as they can. If 61 say it’s a 5 star product then to be on the safe side these 61 are not even 20% of all those who are satisfied with the product, but do not bother to review it.

I agree your opinion for judging the quality of devices but my doubt is about the Seller giving false info to buyers.
On one hand he says Buffalo India Warranty. Has Buffalo shared any info with him that from tomorrow they are gonna open a Service Center here?

Guys, you may not get the product only if seller dont have stock..!!

I have visited his place here in Pune once. I can give you his address if anything goes unexpected. and looking at the stuff lying at this place that i saw, he is surely a big seller and i also noticed lots of buffalo hardisks lying in his reception area.

most of the hdd manufacturers have outsourced service stations. my wd hdd warranty replacement came from okhla in delhi whereas seagate’s came from bangalore both under some indian technology provider name.

I did all the research because I needed the drive so I was anyways going to buy it (earlier at 5388)… now coming to info, flipkart saya it has a 3 year warranty which matches with description. They have partnered with Accel Frontline for tech support and they are a best selling US brand.

For those who do not know, what Accel Frontline is, they are huge and widely spread tech support firm with offices in almost every city in India, the cater from small brands (ViewSonic, Transcend, etc) to biggies like (Seagate, AMD, etc.). I visited Accel office at nehru place a year ago to get my AMD Phenom replaced, I was astound to see the number of brands they catered to, in an organized manner. So now a days companies do not open service center everywhere, they just hire one of these chains who work as multi-brand tech support and it becomes easy life for both consumer and manufacturer.

i was in the final payment stage for this buffalo hdd…then saw im getting WD for 400 more…WD is better in INDIA.

Hence my choice.
